"Not when the wolf asking is on her own territory, asking a wolf taking her prey."

" If you'd like territory you should mark it first." Amber retorted angrily." Your not the only wolf in the world that needs to eat." She stood up to go nose to nose with her, but favored her right back leg, as her left was bleeding from a recent wound . She ignored the pain as she looked, eye to eye, at this arrogant idiot. " Besides, you should only take territory if you can hunt. It was your little PACK wolves that took that messy kill earlier. A three legged pup could make a better catch." She spat 'pack' like it was poison. " So get lost, unless you're gonna fight me for the deer." She looked to wounded to win, but her eyes showed she was serious. " It was then that it was noticeable she was very small, the size of an apprentice. Then, her body relaxed and her eyes rolled into her head. The ground came up to meet her very fast.

Saeliera howled, and a couple wolves showed up soon, helping Saeliera carry Amber back to the camp and to the medics.
"Heal this one. She's badly injured," Saeliera told the medics, not mentioning that it was a loner.

The dark furred wolf ran after the scent of his mate. Feeling the cold breeze brush past his ears he finally arrived, taking note of the loner snarling at his mate. Stepping out of the bushes, Drekus stared intensly at the stranger. "She doesn't need to give you her name Amber" The Alpha growled, stepping next to Saeliera. Strangers are never a sign of good luck and most likely here to steal all of the food and hurt the pack.

Saeliera licked Drekus' ear, and said, "Look at her. She's so young. She shouldn't be out here alone. I've got the medics attending her. We can question her after she heals."

Amber woke up in a flurry of strange scents. She kept her eyes closed, using her nose to try picking out the scents from each other. How many? Too many. Her limbs tensed as she realized she was in a camp of some sort. Her back leg pulsed with pain and she flinched, opening her eyes and rising to a sitting position, twisting to look at her leg. It had been tended to, but not by her. How strange.. Then, it came rushing back. Pack wolves. They were pack wolves. Then: Her deer. Her belly twisted in hunger, she hadn't eaten in days and her ribs were visible. Her catch had been lucky. She remembered aiming for the deer's back, but missing and then tearing its throat instead. She tried to get up, but her leg had got worse from her straining the injury, so she winced at sat, growling at her pathetic leg. Her frustration grew as she realized she was a prisoner of sorts. She growled again in resentment of her weakness, her hunger, and her stupidity at being caught. Then she realized she was being watched, and looked up to see the wolf from earlier and another, darker colored wolf. She bared her teeth in warning at them, but made no threats, not attacking. Just daring her to chase her off like the greedy pack wolves they were, feeding off of HER meal for the week. She looked into their eyes, daring them to react, her pain making her unwary that they had a pack behind them.

Saeliera heard the growl, and grabbed a squirrel, carrying it with her to the medics' den. She entered, and was surprised to see Amber sitting up on her own. She set the squirrel in front of Amber, an sat back on her haunches, waiting for Amber to eat.

Her stomach growled, but she simply stared at this wolf. She was starving, but didn't trust this wolf enough to eat the squirrel. Instead, she said simply, "I don't need your prey." It was a lie, but suspicion clouded her gaze along with her pain, showing she hadn't given the wolf her trust yet.

Saeliera laid down, her posture saying, I can outlast you. My stomach is full.

Amber's eyes narrowed, taking it the wrong way. "I think I need to be more clear, "She snarled, "I don't need the charity of greedy murderous pack scum who rot this territory."
