I am the same way. They're the sort of parents who'll hug me and say "Well, we'll love you no matter what" and that makes me want to tell them even less, for some reason. It's just too... not weird, exactly, but uncomfortable and something else I can't really describe. Is it the same with you?
Shay, have you told your parents? If so, how?

Please don't take this as offensive, but may I ask, what is a furry, exactly? I can't seem to be able to find a solid definition/description anywhere.

Hm, I'm not even sure I ever will tell them, or at least I might even try to keep it a secret if I do end up with a girl, but none of my IRL friends are bi or gay. Thank Varda for fictional crushes.

they're people who'd rather be animals than humans.Hence fur suits and fursonas. Most people get confusing definitions for it...

I have told them, actually. I just asked them if we could talk as a family one day. They didn't take it as a huge shock or anything, because I have family members who also came out when they felt they should only because they knew our family was a supportive one. My parents said that everyone should have support and be able to come out without their family pressuring them, but I know some people have strict upbringings and it's difficult.

My family doesn't have and LGBT+ members, or at least ones who have rebealed themselves, and I'm pretty sure our family doesn't know anyone either. You're lucky you have parents like that - mine would go to extremes, either "Oh, we totally support you and love you so much," which in my mind would just be very awkward, or they'd be super disapproving.

That's very true. I guess you just have to wait for the right time, but I know that's difficult without knowing what'll come. Being supportive (if not somewhat awkward) is definitely better then being disapproving though. ^.^

Somehow it's easier to say things like this online. Like, your online friends won't judge you like IRL ones will. *hugs everyone here*
