Val chuckled and sped up just out of Holt's reach, and she was skating backward, "Come on, race to the park!" she said happily speeding up even more.

Holt slid to a halt when they reached the park. "Second os the best!" He claimed.

Val laughed, she skated toward a tree and did a flip off the base of the trunk, the wheels in her shoes popped in.

Holt smiled and sat down on a bench. He glanced around, then frowned as his gaze came to rest on a silhouette standing beneath a flickering lamp post that appered to be waiting for something... "Uh... Val?" He said in a loud whisper.

Val noticed the figure, "We should go." she said softly motioning for Holt to follow.

Holt stood up and nodded. "Yeah... That dude's giving me the creeps... He looks a bit like a ghost..." He muttered. Then, much to the wolf's dismay, the figure turned. He was black as death, aside from the red streaks on his fur and the white ruff on his chest. But it was those crimson eyes that unnerved him.

Val felt the same, she shivered, she tapped her feet and the wheels popped out, she grabbed Holt's wrist.
