Her eyes grew wide at his rambling but she giggled a bit. "I live blue flowers but I wouldn't want to trouble you or your aunt." She smiled. "You know, sometimes I wish I wasn't princess, just because of all the pressure put on holdong the title. Ive always wondered what it's like to have a regular life, being like the traveling Featherwings in the kingdom outskirts."

"Well... Legally, with your permission, we could disguise you as someone else, and you can walk around like a normal Featherwing on the outskirts!" Goldfinch suggested, hoping the princess wouldn't instantly shut down the idea or get annoyed with him.

"My mother would be very angry!" She said, but she seemed like she was obviously contemplating it. "And she usually never gets angry, especially with me! But it would be interesting, and you can help protect me or teach me how to protect myself..."

((Also, I'm thinking of retrying the Elements rp once again, and I'm wondering if you want me to save a spot for Darya's host))

"Yeah, sure! I mean, I'm in training, but I'm near the top of my class, and I could teach you a bit of fighting too, if it'd make you feel more comfortable" Goldfinch offered "And I know the perfect place we can go. My brother lives in a small town down by the outskirts, I'm positive it's a safe and enjoyable place to visit" Goldfinch suggested.

"That would be amazing!" Starling said, the feathers on the back of her neck trembling slightly in excitement. "We should go tonight!" The princess declared, picking up a crown of leaves that she had made earlier. She placed it on Goldfinch's head. "I have paint in my room that I might be able to use to disguise myself!"

"Sounds great!" Goldfinch said, his feathers twitching as the leaf crown had been placed on his head, his heart fluttering "I'll meet you back here just after sunset?" Goldfinch offered when another voice shouted over.

"Goldie! What are you waiting for? We have patrols to do!" Another Featherwing shouted over to him. Goldfinch rolled his eyes, sighing

"I'm coming Skuas!" Goldfinch shouted back "Well, I suppose I must be going now then, see you tonight?" Goldfinch asked before saying a brief but polite goodbye and running over to Skuas.

Starling dipped her head as Goldfinch turned to leave. "See you tonight," she whispered back shyly, a small smile on her face. She turned back to glance at the flowers creeping up the rocks, gently reaching out to touch a small bush of baby's breath nestled in the rocks. Quickly, the princess collected berries and flowers for her paints.
