Callie was walking on the beach, her swimsuit on with a jacket on over her torso. (Like in the picture.) She was walking in the shallow water

A small white and gray patterned cat was being chased by an angry dog, meowing desperately in fear

Callie watched them, and went over to stop them. She picked up the dog

The dog barked angrily up at her, while the cat ran behind a rock

Callie was glad the dog didn't bite her. She held him in her arms and said, "you can't just be going around trying to eat innocent cats."

The dog, as if understanding her, huffed and walked off.

She went to go see the cat. She pet the cat when she found it. "Hey," she said gently, "are you okay?"

He sniffed her hand, looking up at her. The cat then brushed against her leg gratefully

She smiled and crounched down. She pet the cat. "Aww, you are a gentle creature, aren't ya?"

He purred softly, flicking his tiny floof of a tail
