The former. Red fox is the species, it's just that his fur is white. Arctic fox is an entirely different species, which he may be confused for because they all have white fur, but he isn't, and that's what I was trying to state with that precise description.
So confusing when a species has a color in its name, makes it confusing when you've got a white red fox, for example...

Personality: Not very social, more likely to talk with females. Powerful sense of curiosity.

Really just anything you want to add to this like special markings features, a way he looks most often
