Ryuu isn't known to be very talkative and tends to be seen avoiding others. He'd rather show his emotions through his actions, facial expression, and other forms of behavior, despite it being difficult to see at times due to his stoic face. The easiest way to see how he's feeling and what he's thinking is in his vivid blue eyes. He can get flustered easily and when he does, blush will form over his cheeks and nose and he'll put his face in his hands or find some other way to cover his face. Ryuu may come off as harsh at times, but he is very protective over those he cares about and can honestly be a sweetheart. He is known to try too hard, especially when it comes to impressing someone he likes, and will often try to make sure those around him are happy. He is sometimes a rather sensitive person, just as easily able to come down to tears as he is to snap at a person. Don't get him wrong, he can be an******and will fight when challenged(and will likely never give up when in one), but he does feel guilt when he's been too harsh to another and will beat himself up for stupid things.
Bio:
Ryuu grew up in one of those areas that can easily scare a person off and tends to give off a bad vibe. A place where if you see some one in there, you'll likely assume they are the next murderer to be seen on tv with you as the next victim or they are in so deep they'll mug you in a second. His parents, without a doubt, were a combination of both. His mom had come from a wealthier family while his father grew up without a family. His mom, despite the expectations, got into a lot of trouble in school and outside of it with his father coming in to be her lifetime boyfriend. She did all of the things she was told not to and got pregnant when she was young. The first things his parents had planned was to get rid of him, but knowing they wouldn't exactly end up like his mom's parents, they decided to have him for benefits in the future. His grandmother also couldn't stand the idea of her daughter getting rid of the child and was one of the first people to try and sway her to not get rid of the child. In the end, Ryuu was born, name chosen by his grandmother, and he was set on a not so hot path himself.
Ryuu was never like his parents. When he was little, he was the kindest and cutest kid ever, shyer than a mouse. His grandmother often visited in order to help take care of him, always worried because she knew how things worked at his parents home. She became his favorite person in the world and his parents easily became his least. They often either forgot he was there or treated him with least amount of care. Without his grandma at the house, he was left to take care of himself. Eventually they threatened his grandma off, and she was left to trying figure out some way to help the poor kid out of that mess. Ryuu was often sent to go on errand runs, starting at a rather young age. He'd have to cross the horrible area of town, to the cheapest store in the area, to get crappy food. These journeys often resulted in him getting mugged, beaten up, or both. This caused him to have the realization he needed to find a way to defend himself. He grew a hard shell that turned his adorable hopeful exterior into an emotionless one. Things steadily grew worse at home, but he continued to try his best to keep himself from being like his parents. School was never better, but like at home and in the streets, he wouldn't let anyone get to him. He grew fondness to art and writing in school, those things easily becoming his anchors in life. He tried his best in school, only trouble he got into, was when he fought off other kids. He was able to deal with everything that came his way until one day, his mother was gone and he found his father pissed off. Things went haywire and it wasn't until he was found just out of his area, bleeding, that the cops finally got involved. He was sent to live with his grandmother after getting fixed up and eventually both of his parents were found and arrested. Ryuu got transferred into a much better school and from then on, everything would be just fine. He is still adjusting to this new life and the only person he really only ever spends his time with is his grandma.
Fears:
Most bugs, spiders, birds (mainly just creep him out), deep water, strong storms, the dark, not being prepared, someone he cares about getting hurt (especially because of himself), rejection
Strengths:
He is filled with street smarts, having lived in a rough area most of his life, but he's also a bit book smart. He finds his strengths to be more in technique than actual strength, being agile, quick, stealthy, as well as strategic. He'll more likely trip you before trying to punch you in the face, but the latter is still likely to happen. He is decently flexible as well. His other strengths lie more in the arts, being a great writer and an incredible artist. He is good at math, but is shown to also be lazy in the subject.
Weaknesses:
He isn't the most physically strong, in which having an actual weapon is much more affective than him trying to his fists. Despite being strategic, if certain buttons are pushed, he will just jump into a fight just out of anger. He is very socially weak as well. He can't talk to others for the life of him, easily becoming flustered in those situations. His hair can also be a weakness, in which, because of its length, it can be easily pulled and it's actually pretty sensitive anyway. His fears can also get in the way of things, but he usually tries to conceal and push them down.
