"Let me go!" I said. I was looking into the man's eyes and then I looked at the girl. I knew better than to ask for help.

"Grab the book while I chain him up." Landon said. He put chains on the man's hands that connected. The man looked infuriated or maybe it was just his eyes. "We have to take him back to the King." Landon said.

She crouched and pried the book out of the man's hands before standing and looking around. She sprinted off to the King before either of the men could get up.

Landon dragged him towards the castle. He was a lot heavier than he looked. But then again this man was able to escape fully trained guards. Yet he failed to escape Sir Landon one of the king's most trust knights.

I huffed in annoyance. Why did I have to be caught? I hadn't managed to read all of the book! And it was told to hold great power. Great magic that ones like him only hoped to have.

The King watched with narrowed eyes as Princess Aria handed him the book and took a seat. "Where is Landon?" He demanded, just as the Knight entered, dragging the young man. "Ah. I see you have caught the... creature."

Landon threw him against the floor and he slid forward. He smiled wickedly.

I looked up at the king. "What's wrong? It's just a stupid book! You probably can't even read it!" I said. The man who had dragged me kicked me.

The King's face turned red with anger. "The dungeons! Now!" Aria and Atalanta turned, shocked. Alora just watched their father's face with slight fear. Queen Amara kept her expression stoic.

Landon dragged the man down the stairs into the dungeon. This man was going to be in for a treat. A frightening one. He seemed to not even bother trying to escape so Landon didn't believe the guards were telling the truth.

I huffed in annoyance. Today was going to be a long day. Especially with this king probably wanting me dead. I always picked the wrong fights. I must seem greedy to them. But I have no reason to.

Aria got up without permission and followed Landon down the hall.

I was put in a dark cell. It was quite cold but I think that was intentional. "I hope you like your new home." The man sneered and walked forward away. I still had the chains on .

"Could have taken off these chains he could. But no... They probably can't even read that dang book. Why would it be such a problem that I took it." I said my voice clear in this empty hallway of cells.

Aria hid behind a pillar as Landon left, then hurried to the last cell- the one where the prisoner was. Her high heeled shoes clicked against the cobblestone as she crouched beside his cell. "Hello?"
