And the story:

Sophie Foster has been hearing thoughts of other people in her head since she was five. One day, she meets Fitz Vacker (Telepath)- who tells her she's an elf.
Sophie goes with him to the elven world, where is brought into a family (a woman and man who lost their first daughter in a mysterious fire) and is sent to Fox Fire Academy.
She later learns she is Project Moonlark. A test tube child who was sent to live with the humans. She has alicorn DNA (long story) and has Teleportation, Telepathy, Polygot abilities, and is an Inflictor and Enhancer as well. She is kidnapped along with her friend and adoptive cousin Dex (Technopath). Fitz, Keefe (Empath, his best friend PS I love Keefe <3) and Biana (Vanisher- Fitz's sister).
The Black Swan contacts Sophie and explains to her who had taken her- a Pyrokinetic named Fintan, along with another who is unknown.
SPOILERS BELOW:
The second Pyrokinetic is actually the fiancee to the girl that was killed in a fire. His name is Brant, her's was Jolie. She had been part of the Black Swan, and he had been a part of their enemies, the Neverseen.
Keefe's mother, Lady Gisela, is also part of the Neverseen.
Sophie joins the Black Swan with Keefe, Fitz, Biana, and Dex. They break and insane member of the Black Swan out of the Council's prison (the Council of Elves believes the Black Swan are the enemies) and are sent to Exilium. There they meet twins Tam (shade) and Linh (hydrokinetic) Song. Lihn was sent to Exilium and Tam couldn't leave her behind.
Keefe later joins the Neverseen, but comes back to help Sophie and the others.
