Soranohi ambled down a dirt path, the humid air caused his whiskers to catch fire and extinguish at random. He sighed deeply glancing around him. His eyes pricked painfully dry. Oh, how he longed for the coolness and shade of his home. He yelped, stumbling, as he tripped over a hole that suddenly appeared in the ground. He picked himself up and glanced at the hole curious. He yowled and jumped back as a plume a lava shot up and sent a letter smacking into his face. Confused and bewildered he scraped it off his blackened face and opened it up with a mighty effort to remove the wax seal.

The letter seemed like it was originally white was burnt on the edges and covered in soot. The writing was messy- almost like the writer had been in a rush.

Okay, I suppose I should apologize for burning you in the face with... whatever that flame thing is called. ~^____^~ Although you should deal with it. This thingy letter is to summon you to the Council Spirit Hall. ASAP. Don't miss it.

Okay...? Soranohi thought crumpling up the letter and stuffing it under his foreleg. He stretched out her toes and leaped, not very gracefully mind you, into the air and ran. His chest and legs burned with the effort as he sped in the direction of the Spirit Hall, which he calculated would take him several hours.

Blue looked up and saw a piece of paper float into her room through her window. She jumped up and grabbed it. "What's this?" She said.

This letter was tied with a soft ribbon that changed it's soft hue based on the way the light reflected off it. The ribbon fell away at once, showing the message:

Hello, Blue, Dearest (although you may not know me)-

I hope this letter finds you in good health. For more reasons than one, of course. You must travel to the Council Spirit Hall at once, for urgent....causes. Majestia's fate rests in your hands.

Returning home, some storm clouds rolled in fairly quickly, which startled T'aime. A short downpour started before a lightning bolt struck in front of him, a letter appearing where the bolts had struck dangerously close. He grabbed the letter, reading it carefully

A blot of ink smudged some of the letter, it seemed a bit rushed. The handwriting was very neat, however.

Hey there, kid. I hope you'll recognize my name: Stryke. Yes, that's me. The one who holds the Spirit of Bolt.

T'aime just huffed. "Well, that was incredible undescriptive and blunt" he sighed as he put the letter inside his bag and turned to start heading in the direction of the Council Hall. As he headed over, it began to sink in what might be happening- he was going to become to new holder of the spirit of bolt.

Kai had memorized the directions to the Council Hall. In fact, the she-cat had escorted the royal family there once. She trotted down the road, but when she spotted the Lightning-type cat from the market, she nearly fell over her own feet.
