Selina shook her head in confusion and looked around. She was clutching the book in her hands as the green glow faded. There was a strange weight on her head and she reached up to feel fluffy ears! Her tail swished in agitation and she jumped in surprise at the motion. But that wasn't all, on her back was a large pair of silvery moth wings.
Selina fought to be calm, but she could feel panic rising. Where even was she?!

I woke up and realised I wasn't underwater. That's weird...I don't remember leaving the cave... I then realise that my siblings are nowhere to be found and start yelling for them "Narvagha? Draghal? ANYONE???"

I tossed my wavy black hair over one shoulder and looked where the other girl had been. I had wings. "THAT IS NOT SCIENTIFICALLY POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!" I tensed my shoulders, flapped my arms around, and jumped around in an attempt to fly. Nothing got me up. I examined the wings. Okay, now I had to figure out how to move that muscle. After some effort, I managed to spread my wings. They were a beautiful, glossy black. The undersides of the membrane had deep indigo colors and stars patterned across. Then I folded them. I continued opening and closing my massive wings until I became used to the feeling. When fully spread, each wing was about two and a half of my arms long. When folded, the tops were as high as my head, and the bottoms almost touched the ground. Then I attempted to flap them. It gave me a little bounce. I folded them and walked in the direction of voices, content to having horns and wings.
