"Well, I suspect that if the people who live near there are trying to stay away, must be something pretty important or something." She said, looking down the road where the site was.

I jog back over to my truck and open the passenger door, letting out my large German Shepard.
"Down Rex" I chuckle as he tries to leap up on me. I reach in and quickly grab my black backpack. I put it on and jog back over to the others, Rex at my heels.

Ripley's heart dropped.
"In my experience, people staying clear of a spooky, haunted site means either something evil, or something extremely dangerous. Take the ancient city of Hamunaptra in the mummy movies for example, the locals stayed away from it, not because it held untold fortunes, but because there was a cursed mummy that would destroy the world in it. So I'm going to be the superstitious person who lives at the end of horror movies," Ripley ranted.

Hearing there conversation I walk over.
"Well, I guess I will be the guy who never believes any superstition and is the first to die then" I grin, swinging my car keys in one hand and holding Rex's leash in the other.

Josi shrugged,"That could be it, I guess." She turned, seeing Josh walk up and smiled. It looked like they were all here so they could begin.

"To all of you who don't know, I'm Josh. This here is Rex" I say, petting my German Shepard.

"Oh cool! I love dogs!" Adam smiled at the beautiful shepherd, rubbing his large and callused hands together.
"Who is excited to get this started?!" He asked jovially. He could see one of the women sporting an anxious look on her face but he wouldn't ask about it just yet. He needed to introduce himself first, get a feel of who he was going to be, essentially, living with.
"Well, since I missed the introduction party, may as well jump on in! The name's Adam. Who might be ya'll?"

"Ripley," she said.
She walked over to the dog and scratched it's ears, then it's neck, then it's tummy. Ripley liked dogs and dogs seemed to like her. She knew where to pet.

I grin seeing how much Rex enjoys the attention.

"Pleasure, Ripley."
Adam smiled. The woman was bold. That was for sure. He would never touch someone's dog without their permission and without the dog sniffing at him first.
