Evelyn sighed, taking the nectar and taking a sip of it. There seemed to be nothing happening, and Evelyn breathed a slight sigh of relief, though part of her was disappointed. Out of nowhere, a giant crow landed on her shoulder. Evelyn tensed up as the crow gazed over the audience. It let out a large caw, startling Evelyn and causing her to flinch. Kai, Rhys, and Sylver stared in amazement and pride, even Faolan and Sylver's tiger looked impressed.

"Well, it seams to appear that all of you four have spirit animals," Sakura said to the four children before her. She also released Kochou from her dormant state, so that the children could see her.

"Y-yeah, I g-guess so" Evelyn said nervously. "Do any o-of your friends have spirit animals?" Evelyn asked softly. Meanwhile, Sylver and Rhys were getting into another argument about something stupid, like usual, and Kai was trying to stop them

Sakura suddenly had a very sad look on her face. Kochou flew to Sakura's shoulder to try and comfort her.
"I don't have any friends," she whispered in a voice that was barely audible to Evelyn.

"Oh... why not? Aren't there other kids your age in your village?" Evelyn asked. Sylver was clearly winning the fight as it turned physical, her tiger coming over and laying on Rhys as Sylver shoved him to the ground.

Malik ran over to stop the two younger kids from fighting. Raion tried to help too.

"Just let it happen, they always do this, they'll be fine" Kai said, putting one hand on Malik's chest, sending his otter out of the other. The otter just gently pushed on Raion's nose, pushing him back with his tiny paws.

In a hushed voice, Sakura said, "I never really had the chance, my parents are nobles and they don't really let me interact with other children my age."

"Aw, C'mon, what do you mean none of your friends have spirit animals? All four of us have one!" Sylver said, butting into the conversation, putting her elbow on Evelyn's free shoulder. The crow on her other shoulder just pecked at her, causing her to back away, shooing the bird away gently before returning to her cheery grin.

The interlopers had interrupted Sakura's conversation. That rarely ever happens...
"Let me rephrase my previous statement. My parents are nobles and they don't let me have friends who are not nobles themselves. Of which my family happens to be the only of in this town that has a child who has a spirit animal," she explained to those who were just arriving to their conversation.
