The man sighed and crossed his arms. "The kid doesn't work for me but, if its really that urgent... You pay him for the work, me for the equipment, deal?"

(OOC: the mechanic may end up being a recurring NPC character. I kinda like him.)

"Fine, it's a deal but you better not cheat me." The man warned a hand going to the laser blaster at his side. He was not one to be cheated even if he was the one to do the cheating in the first place. "But I want to meet this mechanic before he boards my ship, have to be careful you know. Everyone wants a piece of me, you know."

The man nodded and shouted over his shoulder. "Yo Guill, the human kid here says he wants ta see ya!"

Guill stood and removed his greasy gloves, throwing them down on top of the speeder. "What is it, you trying to sell me off again?" Guill said as he walked towards the front of the shop. Damn it, the boss always knew just what to say to catch his interest. Human, that was all he needed to hear.

Guill stepped through the doorway to the front of the shop and looked around. Yep, that was definitely a human and an earth human at that. He had always been fascinated with earth humans, ever since his grandfather had first shown him a photo of his great great grandparents when he was a kid. True, earth humans were far more common than his breed were, but still not many had managed to make it off earth before everything went to ******.

The brute was tall, much taller than him in fact. Amphibious, a nice change to the common atmosphere of creatures on this planet, though last he checked water and oil didn't mix. "You can fix things I hear." He said crossing his arms over his chest as he studied the alien. Looked clean enough, maybe even too clean. Beggars can't be choosers though right? "Hope your ready for an******load of work, ship hasn't been seen in almost a year." He said with a slight chuckle at the brute. "Guill wasn't it?"

Guill sneered and crossed his arms, he didn't like the attitude of this human. "Yeah I can tak a look at her for ya. Can't promise nothin though. What make, what model, what year and what needs fixin?"

Yuri listened carefully this blue guy was fairly interesting but like everything else in the shop not really shiny. After they finished speaking she flicked her tail, to warn her interruption " SO how would you two like to be paid?... I assume in the current cash, but I could always be wrong, everyone has their own fancy" she said flattening her ears and placing a hand on her hip near her satchels. It wasn't uncommon in her lines of work to have to be versatile in her payment types.

She was paying? What a woman! If she was lucky he wouldn't act for a decal as well. He was cheap though just what he needed to get by right now. "Uh, it's a space? It's got parts from everything under the sun in it. As to what's need fixing...there a pile of parts that have fallen off in the cabin. If you think I'm kidding then you have another thing coming to you."

"Sounds like my kind of ship, you never know some of that old stuff is actually pretty good."
Guill loved patchwork ships, they were often some old model that used to be top of the market. Usually went that whoever had bought the thing had spent so much on it that they couldn't afford a new one, so they just kept patching it up with whatever they could find. By that point there was also sentimental value attached to it preventing them from selling so they often ended up changing hands only by way of theft or highjacking. The best part was that most people who had ships like this had no idea what the base model was or how much it was actually worth. A few decades worth of patching up tended to hide that even though in reality 70-80% of the ship was still that of the original ship.

"Alrighty then! Let's get this show on the road." He said jokingly punching the fish like brute on the arm before turning away and leading the group back to the port. "You know if he isn't paying you enough I have a spot opened in the crew that you could have." He said offering it to the both of them. What could it hurt? Two people was better than none after all.

Yuri smirked " Well you didn't expect me to pay for repairs if I wasn't coming along did you?" she said slyly. As for pay she was in no need of a steady income. Most of her cash she raked in at the bars, and at various Blade tournaments, but every good thief knew when to keep their mouth shut for the greater good. She Took out on of her Needle knives and twirled it between her fingers as they walked. " Plus its not like I'm completely untrustworthy." She said her face serious as she scanned the docks.
