She could really use some help. She ran to her house and opened the door, and looked at the phone.

She tapped it and yelled into the phone, "Plira, COME HERE THIS INSTANT!"

A small poodle came down. Their choker jingled. Plira, the poodle. Plira sighed. "Sister, what do you want to do?"

"Do you like books?"

Jet finished his shift as quick as possible. He left 12$ on the counter for the cake he took with him and he put it in a to go box. Jet hurried to the Library.

Plira nodded and adjusted her tank top. She fingered her braid.

"So, what do I have to do?"

Plira said, smiling.

"Can you cook."

The answer of her friend was very abrupt.
"No." Plira started laughing.

Jet sat outside the library and waited for Paradise. He hoped she would come but she didn't always do what he hoped.

Plira chuckled. "Come on, let's see what the library says."

Paradise ran to the library.

She saw Jet outside and she laughed a bit.

"Please...... take my offering.." Jet said holding out the to go box to Paradise.

"Why?" Paradise looked at the box. "I didn't do anything."

"I wanted to be kind for leaving you when I had my shift." Jet said. "I got your favorite!"

She shook her head. "A full cake is too much. A slice may do."
She locked eyes with him. "I don't deserve it."

She took the box and sat down. She took out the knife and sliced one piece off and took it with her hands and took a bite out like a cookie. Paradise finished the cake and smiled, taking out a napkin from Plira's bag, wiping her mouth and paws on it.

"Thank you."

Plira looked mad. "Don't I get a piece?"
"Fine, fine."
She gave the poodle a slice and watched as Plira wolfed it down.
She whispered to Jet, "She likes my favorite way more. Please don't mind her."

She took the box from him and set it down on the bench.
She hugged him. "Thank you so much."

"Your welcome." Jet said.
