I jump out from behind a tree, pouncing on an imaginary enemy. Too slow, I tell myself as my paws hit the earth. I have to be faster. Always faster. If I am not fast, I am slow. Slow won't get me anywhere. I've been in the swamp too long now, so I flick my tail and dash back to the pack. As I arrive, I see an unfamiliar wolf. By it's scent, I can tell the wolf is a female. I can't be bothered to pad over and introduce myself, but she smells interesting enough, so I bark a short "Hey!", flick my ears and sit down facing away from her.
