Chapter Seven

Astoria's eyes widened. "W-What do you mean?" "I mean," he said like he was talking to a just-out-of-the-egg hatchling. "That I don't want to talk to you. I mean, why out of all Lupora? I'd rather talk to Honey, and shes a mere servant." Tears stung in her eyes as she looked at Ashun's hard amber ones. "But-but..." Trailing off, she pushed her plate toward the center of the table and rested her head on her paws. "It's impolite for you to put your paws and head on the table."
The Lupora glared at her used-to-be-friend. "Fine, Ashun. If it's impolite, consider me impolite." "That's Prince Ashun to you, Astoria." "And that's Princess Astoria to you," the heiress retorted. Ashun- er, Prince Ashun looked distastefully down at her as Cervos came in and sat across from Astoria. "Hi!" he said cheerfully, looking between the two.
Astoria was looking at her plate, crying softly. Ashun was talking quietly with his mother about the Zolnixi kingdom. The Faelora looked at Astoria and leaned forward, nudging her softly. "Are you alright?" "No." was the respond he got. He heard wobbly footsteps approaching, and the heir looked up to see Piscis walking forward. "Oh dear Alga, walking on land is hard." "How so?" Cervos asked. Piscis glared up at him. "Try swimming underwater for your whole life, only to find out that every other month you're going to be travelling and having to be walking on land." Then the Sylvorpa noticed Astoria. Her angler lights flickered violently, and she walked forward to the Lupora.
"C'mon," she said softly. "Lets go." Astoria shakily got up and Cervos followed the two girls at a safe distance. Walking into the hall, they bumped into the twins Tourmaline and Sapphire. Sapphire walked next to the other girls, and the green Bulbori walked next to Cervos. Eventually, they reached the resident heiress' room, and they all walked inside.
Cervos and Tourmaline sat down at the writing desk, on the chair and in front of the chair respectively. Piscis was sitting next to Astoria, and Sapphire was getting a hot drink from one of the servants. A minute later, the Bulbori came in with some hot chocolate. Handing it to Piscis, the Sylvorpa gave it to Astoria.
"What happened?" Tourmaline asked, fed up with the silence. Cervos said, "I saw Ashun dis Astoria. You could hear his voice from halfway down the hallway." Sapphire gasped and turned to Piscis. They started whispering furiously, and Astoria caught some of what they said.
"...Like her!"
"Obviously..."
"...Can't believe.."
"Terrible."
After that it was silent. Then there was a knock on the door. Cervos stood up and made to get it, but Astoria shook her head. Standing up, the Lupora walked to the door and opening it. Outside stood Ashun, tears in his sorrow filled eyes. He started crying, and so did Astoria.
Queen Sonne was following her son. She saw him knocking on the Princess' door and saw the door open. It was when they both broke down that the Queen quickly flew to Imperitus did they both realize that they would need something more than one Ryori to break through the Prince's walls.

Chapter Eight
Surprise POV! Queen Tenebris!{Beginning with a little bit of Queen Sonne}


Queen Sonne was furious. Obviously, the Ryori up in the tower wasn't doing her best. Storming up the stairs, she flung open the door. Inside, Queen Tenebris was sitting down in the chair. When the Ryori saw the Zolnixi, she chuckled softly.
"So," The Ryori leaped off the chair and stood up. "You've payed me a visit." The yellow queen looked dazed for a second, but shook her head and glared at the purple and blue queen. "You know what you did. Or rather, didn't do." In a soothing voice, the sorceress replied, "Oh, dear. You know I can see into the future. The question is, what did that insolent Imperitus do to force you up here?"
Sonne's eyes dimmed and became a dark orange instead of the light orange they usually were. "He.. he.." A conflicted look flashed across her face, before she closed her eyes and went slack, falling down onto the ground. Tenebris grinned slyly, and her milky blue eyes scanned the room before taking the Zolnixi's back of her armour and dragging her into a nearby chest she had handy. It was also handy that the chest was exactly Queen Sonne's size.
Tenebris walked outside, closing and locking the door behind her. "That," she muttered, "is what happens when you try to fight my powers and I." Looking around, she called, "Kalymma! Come here, darling." A small pink and purple Ryori with purple mist raced to her mother. "Yes, Mother?" she squeaked, grinning from ear to ear.
"I need your help." "What with, Mother?" The older Ryori knelt down and said softly, "We need to convince the prince of the Zolnixi kingdom to hate the princess of the Lupora kingdom." "Why, Mother?" "Haven't I told you to not ask questions?" Kalymma nodded quickly. "Yes, Mother."
"Follow me, dearest."

A couple of hours later

Queen Tenebris grinned. "Get the prince." "Yes, Mother!" As the small Ryori raced off, the sorceress smirked. Everything was going perfectly. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. When she opened it, there was a small Lunemara flitting around nervously, her light at the end of her body flashing. "Oh, good, you opened the door. I'm afraid if I keep worrying like this, I'll hit the floor."
The Ryori sighed, backing out and letting the Lunemara in. "Hello, Queen Tenebris, my name is Dini," she said as she flitted in. "And as you can see, I am quite mini." The door opened once more and in came Kalymma and Ashun. "Oh, I see the crown prince is here. But, if I may ask, why is he, dear?"
"Yeah, I'd like to know that too," Prince Ashun said, eyeing Tenebris distrustfully. "Oh, so he doesn't know! This will be quite the show." Glaring at Dini, the queen chose her words carefully. "Um.. you see.. therapy! Yes, your mother requested you here for therapy."
"Uh huh..." While Ashun was walking forward to sit in the chair, Tenebris turned around and teleported Dini outside. Slamming the door shut and locking it, she turned to the prince sitting cautiously on the chair. There was a muffled yell of, "Wait! You can't lock me out! Let me in or I'll pout!" "Threatening," Ashun muttered, before watching Tenebris and Kalymma with renewed interest.
"Ready?" The queen asked, before flicking her ears toward the prince. Kalymma did the same, and soon the Zolnixi was encased in purple mist and he slumped over, not breathing yet still alive. Suddenly, and to both of the Ryori's suprise, the door burst open, and chaos ensued.


Cliffhanger! By the way, Dini is a little bit mentally unstable, so.. more will be said about her next chapter! Per usual, her looks are saved in my designs ;3

Chapter Nine
Surprise POV! Okay, okay, it's not much of a surprise anymore, but I really wanna write Ashun x3


A few minutes after Ashun fell into the deep darkness he now associated with being brainwashed, he faintly heard a door being slammed open and even fainter paw steps racing toward him. He felt something touching his fur, and some whispering.
After that, though, was a haze. He felt as if the world was spinning around him until it all mushed into one, ugly black. He could hear shouting, but couldn't place the voices nor hear the words. Finally, he regained consciousness. Keeping his eyes closed so he could pretend he was still under the spell, he pricked his ears subtly so no one noticed and listened
"Do NOT touch Ashun! He is, in fact, NOT your property. A huge shocker, I know." That was Astoria. There was a silence, then the soothing voice of Queen Tenebris said, "Oh, but dear, he is mine." Then she laughed. It was soft, and it immediately made Ashun want to fall asleep and do what she said for as long as he lived.
There it was again. That laugh. "Good, good," she soothed. "Now, up and stand before me." The Zolnixi felt his eyed being pried open and he involuntarily got up and stood before the Queen. There were other people being brainwashed, too. Piscis, Cervos, Tourmaline, Sapphire and.. Ashun's breath hitched in his throat. Astoria was next to him, standing regally up and facing the Queen, relaxed but tense at the same time.
That was how everyone looked, and that was how the prince felt. And then the soothing voice of the Ryori washed over him and made him alert, watching for any intruders to dare and defy the Queen and Princess of the Ryori kingdom. "So, you will all follow Imperitus' commands, whether you like them or not. You will also obey your parents," at this she looked at Astoria with fake pity. "Imperitus and I. Also, King Umbra. Have I made myself clear?"
"Yes, Queen Tenebris." Piscis, Tourmaline, Sapphire, Ashun, Cervos and Astoria all said at the same time. "Good. Now off you go." Immediately they all turned around and went out the door. Once they were outside, Piscis turned around, her eyes gleaming. "How about we explore the outside of the castle?"
Astoria's eyes were wide. "My mother and father forbade me from going out of the castle, and you heard what Tenebris said." "But my mom didn't," Ashun pointed out, "and they'll never know." Fidgeting, the Lupora replied, "I guess it wouldn't hurt.." And with that, they all walked outside of the castle without anyone noticing.
Immediately they knew they should find the Healer's place and talk to her, to talk about my the Ryori's were able to do what they did. As they walked in, the smell of herbs filled their noses and they all sat down around a small, round, wooden table.
A small Lunemara flitted in. Ashun remembered her as Dini, the rhyming one who had said, "Wait! You can't lock me out! Let me in or I'll pout!" Ah, good times, good times.
"Oh, hello everyone. I see you've come out to the world of the sun." Cervos cocked his head at her weird speaking, and said, "We need help." "Yes, I can see that. I'm not a stupid, blind bat!" "Sorry, ma'am. We would just like to know why Queen Tenebris and Princess Kalymma of the Ryori kingdom can use their.. mist, I guess, so brainwash others?"
"Ah, that is one thing I do know. Would you prefer to listen, or the show?"
