And regarding the hidden traits, there is a small chance pets have them.
However hidden genes never affect appearance. So yes, what you see when they are adolescent is what you get. You were right there.
But sometimes for breeders it's important to know if there are genes hidden behind a visible. There are wheel pets where a hidden gene saves a gene from being excluded from the gene pool, and thus making it possible (but hard) to get said gene visible, even though non of the other tagged have that gene visible.

I just added 1 Mahi Mahi Aurleon and 2 Calico Scallop Luffox. The Luffox traits are pretty not one of those ugly combinations of genes and mutations. You've got to see the 2 Luffox! ^_^

FForFox believe me, this is tempting. It's a 3-vis Ny'vene, a fabled species. Last time I sold a 2-vis exclusive Ny'vene, I sold her for 5M Golds. I remember I owe Arkhantha for that one. I'll think about it.
