"I sense other things lurking though..." He mumbled.

Glitch's ears twitched, something felt off. Raising her head and yawning she looked around the cottage, noticing the distinct lack of Sylesties. Other than Red who was still asleep on the pillow, she was alone.

"Pine?" she called quietly, not wanting to wake the slumbering Faelora.
She didn't get an answer.

She yawned again and wondered how long she had slept. An hour, perhaps less? It didn't matter, either way she couldn't get back to sleep unless she knew where her friend was.

Deciding Red should be safe on her own, Glitch shook off the exhaustion she felt and left the cottage.

They walked deeper into the cave, so far no trolls or spiders. But it was getting darker and harder to see things.

Feiht walked next to Pine.
'Kid, just out of curiousity, did you tell your lady friend where you wher going?'
Pine looked at Feiht.

'yeah, Well I did tell them I would be going back to town to earn that gold, of course I did't know about that cave yet.'

Feiht grinned. 'Oh kid, You sure your lady friend was with you when you shared that info and not only that birdy?''

'Pff of course I am sure.......oeps.'

Feiht laughed (not loud, not wanting to attract creatures)

'Well, knowing her she will find that note and come here knowing you would go there.'
'Glitch can take care of herself, she is smart, smarter then me anyhow, and she knows not to go to a cave like this alone.'

'You sure?'

'yes I am sure.' (He hoped so anyway.)

He turned back to his new companion in the cave quest.
'Say, where do you and your familie live? The town doesn't really seem like a good place for Faelora's.'

Pine asked with friendly curiousity, not at all with suspision.
Feiht had to hide another grin when he heard that question.

'Yes please, do tell us about where your 'familie' lives, I am quite curious to hear more about them.'

Glitch wandered the streets, asking shop keepers and the Sylesties running the games if they had seen 2 male Zolnixis pass by. She was having no luck until she heard someone call her over.
"Excuse me, little miss, I think I might've seen your friends."

Glitch turned to see an old, blue Qitari. He stood, smiling by a cart full of shiny trinkets.
"Really?" she asked.

"Yeah, a young green and grey one with an older grey and orange one, right?"

"Yes, that's them. Do you know which way they went?"

The old Qitari nodded, "They were staring at that poster over there so my bet is they went to find a black coal rock." he pointed to a pole that had the poster on it.

Glitch walked over and read it, feeling a chill up her spine at the mention of the dark cave. As much as she didn't want to go, she knew Pine and Feiht would be there.
Letting out a sigh she started in the direction of the cave.

"Hold up, there!" the old Qitari caught her before she left, dropping a piece of string tied to a small, carved crystal around her neck. "It's a good luck charm." he explained, noticing her confusion.

"Thank you but I don't have any gold with me."

"Not a problem, miss. Consider it a gift." With that he gave a nod and towed his cart away. Glitch shouted a quick goodbye and ran toward the cave.

Just when the faelora was about to walk behind them again, the 2 zolnixi's had to ask him a question. Great, thought Agana.

No use in lying, they were already in the middle of the cave by now. "My family?" He scoffed. "All died in a fire by an arsonist." He said not hesitant as all. "Arsonists regular in this town here. Nothing too surprising anyways. On the news all day."

He was pretty famous around the town, even known as the mad man here. He was famous, all right. Most sylestis gossiped and stared at him, but were rarely seen or heard in public. One of the rumors said he had killed an 8 year old for an experiment. Police never found any evidence.

"All were lies." Agana thought as he stared back at the zolnixi's. "These 2 will most likely become one of the gossipers too. Hate me? No doubt."

Pine looked shocked. Of course he didn't liked being lied too, but that was not why he looked so upset.

'Your familie died? I am so sorry for your loss. That must be awefull. I can't even imagine.... I'm sorry.'

Pine looked like he was about to picture just that, but the image was to horrible and he dropped it. He would save his familie, so no need to imagine them gone for good. He said sorry because he felt bad for making the faelora say that.

Feiht looked amused. So the guy decided to play open book huh? Well what an interesting fella.

Feiht not being the emotional or feeling type decided to see how open book this guy really was going to be. .' Well, how sad that is indeed, I however can't help but wonder, why would a guy like you need that amount of gold if you don't have a familie to spend it on?'

Pine looked angry. 'Feiht! What a horrible thing to say.'

'Oh but being nice doesn't get the truth out kid, experience tought me that, and I am sure this guy know's what I am talking about. So, what is the real reason you are tagging along with us for pointy?'

"What an interesting fellow that was in the party..." Agana thought as he stared back at the tacky zolnixi. This man, who was by far older than him, was much clever.

"Why?" He said, and repeated. "Why?" He said, this time in a lower voice. "Simply because money is needed for survival, silly zolnixis. Everyone in this town will always pickpocket, no matter the age. Money is the only thing needed for this town. They don't care about hygiene, or what so ever. They don't even know hygiene. Why, give them diamonds and jewels and they will be a slave for life."

He looked back forwards again, and began walking again. "Well, let us close the topic now, agreed? I know I wouldn't like it if...oh, I don't know, I asked you, Pine," He looked back at the green zolnixi. "If I asked if you knew your family could be dead by now." He muttered the last of his sentence quietly. He didn't know why, but Pine seemed like an innocent child you could always lie to...so why tell the truth?

"Hmph. Obviously because the other zolnixi, Feiht would always pester me obviously if I lied." He answered his own thought.

Pine looked sad. Why did he have to ask that? he did say sorry didn't he and he told him he feld bad for him, It was feiht that was being mean.

Then Pine got mad. 'Well sorry mister, I did say sorry, and I wouldn't have started about it had you not lied about it in the first place, and It was Feiht that was acting like a jerk, and now you are going to start with my familie? From the moment I left all I heard was from other sylestie how my familie probably is dead. I know they are not. They are strong sylesties and brave. My dad was kings guard once. My brother is a very skilled magician and my mom is a very strong healer! The humans would not kill sylesties with strengts like them. So I will go find them and safe them, and everybody who thinks otherwise can just go jam their head where the sun doesnt shine.'

And Pine moved more foreward so he was walking in front of the 2 rude sylesties instead of next to them. (His angry is more of a comic angry then real dramatic angry)
He didn't even wait for a reply.

Hmpf, stupid males, both lied to him and then turn it back on him. Feiht made him own him gold even though he reallyd didn't and now this guy was trying to make him feel bad even though all he did was being nice. Why did nothing make sense out of his forest.

Maybe his brother had been right.
(Flashback: A small green zolnixi was chasing a bigger green zolnixi with talismans. 'Fern, Fern wait for me.'

The bigger one stopped and laughed. 'Hey there little squirt, you need to keep up.'

The little zolnixi pouted 'I try I try.'
The older one looked amused. 'I know you do.'

The older one heard somebody calling him.
'Het squirt, I have to go now.'
'Ahh can I please go with you? I would love to see the world outside of our home.'

The older one looked down and nuzzeld his little brother.
'Sorry squirt, but I think the outside world is not a place for you.'

'Huh!? Why not?!'
The bigger zolnixi leaned his paw lovingly on his little brothers head.

'You Pine, are just to nice and naive for the world, they would eat you raw out there. You better stay here, with mom and dad and you did meet that white zolnixi girl uhm Glitch was it? You would be happiest right here. Trust me on this one squirt.'

Pine did not look convinced. But before he could complain Fern already was running off.

Pine signed. Seems you where right Fern. He made it a job to ignore the 2 behind him. His cheeks puffed. (In a funny way though it is not ment to be funny)
