History: Karissa parents always fought, her dad using her as a punching bag, her mom too afraid to stand up for her. Her dad drank himself to death with the help of drugs, shooting Karissa's mother, leaving her an orphan. She was 9 at the time. She lived here and there for a bit until she was 12 and found by Darwin Parigen, a man who lost his wife and was willing to take in a child. They lived a few happy years. When Karissa was 12, she watched Dawn in awe at a stables then on the Olympics, inspiring her. Her new dad agreed and Karissa started riding. A few months before Dawn's disappearance, she was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, which you can look up. Darwin was killed by a gang of men who had robbed him and took Karissa a year after Dawn disappeared, or you could say when Karissa was 13. Her horse Dottie was still in the stables. They did pretty horrible things to her, which I will kindly not list. Luckily, Kota found her a couple of years later, bloody and almost beaten to death and Karissa went scurrying away a few towns away. She just scavenged and such. While Kota rescued Karissa, they brought along Dottie. Of course in any town, there are your average rapists and just about 2 months ago Karissa was a victim, now pregnant, but she doesn't really know.
Personality: Karissa is a bit timid and kind of easily frightened. She is quite friendly and kind, a good friend. She loves her horse Dottie with her life and admires, er, admired, Dawn. She knows Kota from her being saved by Kota.
Description: By the way, imagine her with a small rise on her belly. Oh yeah, her eyes are supposed to be green instead of that red in the photo below. And she has no wings.
Pets: Dottie the Clydesdale, who is female.

Other: So far she is slowly losing her sight, though more in her right eye.

History: Karyna and her brother ran away from home because of their mom, who had Machausen Syndrome by Proxy, meaning very bad luck for Karyna and her brother. Karyna had a younger sister as well, but she was killed by their...mom. Karyna herself had her left leg cut off and her right eye burned out. Her brother however, could fight back. She and her brother went out the streets for quite a while until her brother decided to kidnap people for ransoms and such. Even if her brother chose a bad choice of living, she still loved him. His last victim was Dawn, before Mark shot him. He had been sent to capture Dawn or else. Karyna, on the other hand, was around the neighborhood doing little jobs like mowing lawns and babysitting; everyone trusted her.
Personality: Karyna is pretty ambiguous. She is not sensitive but still pretty nice. She is loyal, but betray her and forever never be trusted by her. Sometimes she is very solitary.
Description: Karyna has dark brown hair with streaks of orange. She has some bangs and her hair reaches the middle of her chest. Her left eye is a forest green, really nothing spectacular. Her right is a creepy mess, which is why she has an eyepatch. Her skin is a peachy orange. She is currently wearing a black plain t-shirt with a white shirt underneath. She is wearing dark blue boot cut jeans, so no one really sees her prosthetic left leg. She is wearing a pair of nicely worn white tennis shoes. Karyna is 5"4 and weighs 98 pounds. She is on the skinny side. The rest of her body has various scars, some faded, some crystal clear.

i changed some things on my character page.

Dawn and Kota secretly got engaged about three weeks before she was kidnapped. They have matching wedding rings.

Me and Firexwings have decided that Kota and Alister are going to be brother and sister. I will post the back story soon.

The back history of Kota and Alister that no one but them knows about


When Kota was about six years old, she was kidnapped. The people who took her told her that her parents and siblings were dead and that they would raise her as their own. She agreed to stay with them. After about ten years she ran away and lived on her own. She soon met Dawn and they instantly clicked. They started dating and when Dawn was kidnapped, she started looking into where her real parents were. She was unable to find anything so she poured herself into her work. After about five years she returned to her old home. She learned that Dawn had been killed and tried to end her own life. Alister and stumbled upon her and saved her life. After she had recovered enough strength she ran from the hospital. She finally got a good look at Alister and realized that he was her long lost brother. Her full name (only alister and dawn know this) is Dakota.
