When you grab your second potato, you are pulled back immediately by sharp claws! You look at your capture to find a trio of witches cackling horrifically! You tremble in fear and toss your potato, hopign it lands on the alter by some miracle. It does (good aim!) and a shadow leaps up and attacks the witches! A second leaps out to stand guard in front of you until the witches are vanguished!

You take another attempt. When you place this potato on the alter, you find yourself surrounded by a thick mist. It swirls around you, and you feel soemthing on top of your head. When the msit begins to subside, a little face peers down at you. a second tackles you from behind.

I take the handsome Dappled Pain with me and grab potato #6 (hopefully before I almost drown again)!

You start to shuffle through them, only to come across a pair of puffs, munching away. Excapt, for some reason, one is carelessly munching on the tail of the other.
