Eh I hate typing out my char's description XD Also, when you say ability granted by colouring, what do you mean? Like when they color something/someone, that ability happens? Or like that ability is granted to the person who is coloured by them? Or perhaps that this is the ability they have just for being a value? (Also, I'll be doing two values then... >< Well at least one value, I'll see about the other.) Just er... what do grayscalers do?

Abilities granted by coloring:
As he can use both yellow and purple colors, colors that can be associated with light and darkness respectively, he can levitate a small sphere of light in his palm, useful for lighting one's way. He can also heal wounds, but can only fully heal small cuts and bruises. Anything beyond that he cannot heal, and can only slow down the flow of blood. He can also use his yellow value to levitate items.

This comes naturally and there is no negative effect on him. However, there is a limit to what he can lift - this is restrained by his own mental and physical strength. Thus he cannot lift, say, a boulder or any other giant or heavy objects. Often, he just uses this ability to levitate his cards - one of his main method of fighting. The least tiring, and the most effective in his eyes. He can also use this ability to propel his cards and roses forward, in a manner of attack.

Due to his purple value, he has some control over shadows. By this, it means that he manipulates his shadow or for short periods of time fade into the shadows, becoming one himself. However, such powers have their own downside. While the lighting ability has very minor downside - it just hurts his eyes since he's the closest to the orb - his purple value has more major downsides.

For his shadows, when he uses his own shadow, he cannot move nor speak, but he can use his shadow to see and hear. It gives him a headache when he finishes using this ability, for returning to his own body sends his vision spinning; If he were to become a shadow, however, then when he materializes, he will be dizzy and weak, but will recover soon enough. The effect increases the longer he stays as a shadow. Sometimes his abilities react to his emotions without him realizing it, and this causes him to require a restraint, due to a past incident. Both shadow ability will hurt him is strong light is shined on his shadow (and the shadow he can become).

- Basically, is a walking flashlight that can be turned on and off, a travelling medic, can use levitation, use his own shadow (think peter pan) and can become a shadow.

Restraint: His restraint comes in the form of a silver choker. While it does not block any of his abilities fully, the restraint blocks just enough, such that should he lose control of his emotions he would not be a threat to any one around him. The abilities not blocked are listed above, along with a few more restraints for each ability.

Appearence:

A teenager with purple long hair and golden-purple eyes. His clothing is a mix of black and yellow, and he wears a white shirt. He also wears a black top hat that bears a yellow rose. His boots and black with yellow stripes. He often carries around a deck of cards and purple roses.

Other:
He is dexterous and with his own custom made decks and custom made gloves as an armor, he can easily turn the cards into a deadly weapon, for each card's edge is lined with sharp metal, allowing it to pierce through skin when needed. His gloves stops himself from hurting himself accidentally since he like playing card games and magic tricks. The purple roses he is usually seen with are made of metal, coloured to look like the real thing. He can also use daggers and throwing knives.

He's a magician by hobby, and has a pet white rat. He just calls it Nezumi. Since he took up magic as a hobby, he has a tendency to treat battles like a performance, be they spars or the real deal. He can however, take them seriously if he wants to, but if he doesn't he plays around.

HOW THEY GOT TO SPECTRUM:
His life started out normally, a normal family with two kids (him included). That was, until he found out about his powers. Spectrum soon found out, and wanted him with them, but he rejected, and a fight broke out between him and Spectrum's representatives. During the fight, he got angry to the point that he unwittingly unleashed the full extent of his powers, knocking him out. When he woke up, he found himself in Spectrum. Since then, he's grown to both hate and love the organization, and made a new friend, the white rat, Nezumi.

Abilities granted by coloring: Due to blue value: Levitation, crystal ice. Due to orange value: Fire
-One downside, most of his abilities are activated by singing, hand motions and imagination, unless it's the ice/crystal and nature-related abilities.

Restraint: His earphones. It stops his powers from activating if he lets his mind wander. Rare, but just in case, since the first time he daydreamed his room nearly became an iceberg. That's about it for his abilities are quite harmless unless he is provoked, but he has exceptional control over his temper and powers.

Appearence:

Teen boy with blue hair, wears a blue scarf with orange designs and the small light blue lines on his outfit and sleeves are orange. He wears fingerless gloves which are blue-rimmed along the opening in the gloves. He is usually seen with headphones and he paints his nails blue. His eyes are not the same color, his right eye is orange while his left eye is blue.


Other: Surprisingly, he has a hearing deficiency, which is why he wears his headphones. They neglect his hearing problems, and function as communicator, he can adjust the volume and his power restraint.

He loves singing and has a pet bird. Just calls it Tori. It is white.

Friends with Shion and is skilled with many weapons, but hasn't found his main weapon yet. He loves nature, reading, music, dancing, and quite a few more things.

HOW THEY GOT TO SPECTRUM:
He didn't join Spectrum per say... But he wasn't kidnapped. He is without family, orphaned as a child. He managed to make a living by using his own skills, and his values to help him. He was in a middle of a practice for a performance when Spectrum found him, but he was smart. While he didn't want to go, he was outnumbered and he was sure he could not beat the Spectrum agents. Thus he joined Specturm. He doesn't hate life, but doesn't love it either. He easily made friends with Shion.

It's so good to write with someone online at the same time as you...whoops, distraction:P

Still, please type at least color of eyes and hair, even if you find a picture^^(need to ask Coradrawa for that too). Abilities granted by coloring are, to put it simply, superpowers that Values can(or cannot, if they don't control it) use as they please, take for example Cora's Red and my chars: Red's uses his Value to heal people(with side effects, but still) but he doesn't have to make their colour return, or exchange their colour with his'. The same goes for Midori, who doesn't have to paint anyone to take their wounds on herself, and Ao(I'm not going to use him for a while but whatever) can control water, even that one drained frrom colour(not that water had any color in the beginning, but you know what I mean). He CAN restore the color to originally blue items, but that is a different part of his power.

Okay, grayscalers are normal people(without superpowers), so logically they just live :P. The Pures erases their memory of what colours were and Spectrum fights to make them remember or remember again.
Of course, you can put a Grayscaler, who uses normal weapon to help Spectrum...

Oh yeah, even though my second char's pic is blue, I'm going to say where the orange parts in his appearance are ^^ That's okay right .-.

I know it says that any power is acceptable, but don't you think he is a little...over-powered? I mean I know compliments make you want to give him different strenghts, I did that to one of my characters, but you wrote Shion, even if restrained and only to a certain degree, can: light a place, fight with light, heal with light, levitate objects, hide in shadows, make puppets out of shadows and if I understood right, create shadow clones, and I didn't mean it to sound like a technique from Naruto.
Seven different powers with only one person? Does he really need to be that powerful? I like the idea for card fighting, so why offensive light? I know you put a lot of effort in inventing his powers and their disadvantages, but could you make him a little weaker? Otherwise I can't see a place for development to that character and remember that Spectrum both fights with Pures and lets Values grow up^^

Oh yeah O.0 you're right! It's like the Nara's techniques >< and no it wasn't shadow clones... I can't explain it :/ and no worries, I didn't put in a lot of effort ^^ I just went with light and dark powers and went from there. I didn't really spend much time thinking about his powers... And yeah I'll change the abilities (cause you are right) but I hate editing stuff with an iPad, so... The edit will come late.. (Oh yeah the shadow clone thing you meant the scouting thing...? I still don't know where that came from >< but because I was the one the wrote it, I don't know how you interpret it ><) so I'll change the form when I gets on a come ^^ which is in about two hours i think... I cant remember my own timetable XD

Edit: Er I gave up, went to delete it, but in the end decided that I didn't want to put you through reading that paragraph of junk again, so summarised his powers in the short sentence following the paragraphs talking about his powers. He now has five....? Is that alright....? I've also had time to add random streaks of orange to the blue boy's picture ^^ (kaito)
