Yurana stabbed him in the eye, the only place her spear could pierce through. "Leave," she said pointing to the rosebush. The myrmidon wouldn't be able to follow them. She untied the spear and replaced her dagger in the sheath. She began to ascend the rosebush. It was easy, she just had to avoid the thorns. She was forced to slow down at the top though. The vines grew thinner and the thorns grew closer. She was forced to test each branch as she stepped. When she reached the top, she scanned the ground below. She hoped Alexander had a rope. Maybe they could tie their jackets together and jump the rest of the way if they needed to.

Alexander hit him one more time across the head and than rushed over to the rosebush. He had never seen one quite as large as this one and he kind of wondered why the people would allow something so easy to escape from grow on the wall. He began climbing up the vines and finally made it to the top of the wall with Yurana. Dangling his legs over the edge he looked down. It was a longer drop than he had imagined and he didn't bring rope to get down it. "Please.... Please tell me you brought something to get down the wall." HE said with a chuckle. He couldn't believe his own luck. If they went back they would surely be punished and he did not want that.

Yurana shook her head. She took off her sweatshirt and the cloak in her bag. She tied them together and held one end. She threw them down the wall, still holding one end. They didn't even reach the middle of the wall. She was mad at herself. She would be punished if she went back. She had to get down the wall.

Alexander grabbed her hand and pulled her hand up so he could grab the two pieces of clothing. Pulling his shirt off he tied it to the end of the rope making it a little longer. Reaching into his bag he pulled out his extra outfits which consisted of three shirts and two pairs of pants and tied them to the end of the rope as well. Reaching back into his bag he pulled out the sheet he brought and tied that to the end. "Do you think this will be enough?" He asked and handed the rope back to her. He felt the wind whip across his naked chest and it sent goosebumps up his arms. He didn't realize how chilly it actually was outside.

Yurana pulled her shirts and pants out of her bag and tied them to the end. She held up the end. She would have to climb back down the rosebush to were there was a strong branch. The ines higher up would break. She climbed down the side and tied it. When she climbed back up she saw that it was a ways above the ground. They had no option though. She heard yelling she turned to see more guards coming. "Hurry!" she said pointing down.

Alexander didn't need her to tell him twice. He grabbed the rope and threw himself onto it. Quickly he slid down it until he reached the end where he was hanging at least six feet above the ground. He knew if he didn't land this right he could possibly break his ankle. Letting go, he brought his arms up and rolled forward so he did a barrel roll. He didn't stay on the ground long but pushed himself up so he could catch her. He was longer than her by a foot or so and the ground would hit much harder for her. "I'll catch you!" He yelled up to her and urged her to come on.

Yurana didn't hesitate. She slid down the rope. Only then did she hesitate. It was a long drop. But then she saw an arrow fly toward the rope, missing it by inches. She let go of the rope.

Alex held his arms out and watched as she fell from the rope. Taking half a step or so closer to the rope, he watched as she fell. She hit his arms and he pulled her close so he wouldn't end up dropping her. Her landing in his arms though made him slightly off balanced and he twisted himself so he would land on his back and she would be fine. Everything went black and he realized that he had closed his eyes. The pain on his back was strong and he knew he must have rubbed the skin off. Slowly he opened his eyes and looked up at her in his arms.

"Thanks," said Yurana "You okay?" It was the most she had spoken in a while. An arrow buried itself in the ground beside them. She was grateful to him. Nobody else had talked to her in the dorm let alone helped her that much.

Alexander gently slid her off of his lap and sat up. The cool air made his back sting slightly more. Turning his back towards her he looked over his right shoulder, " You're welcome... How does my back look?" He asked. He didn't bring any medicine to help it heal and to make sure it didn't get infected so he hoped it wasn't to bad. If it got infected he would never make it to the person he was looking for.
