Would you be alright with it being drawn in traditional pen and ink (few to no colours)? I wouldn't likely be able to ship it to you. Also do you need it within a certain period of time? (I can take a while to finish a full detail map)

it's fine to have no color. there isn't a deadline, as long as you post it eventually lol. and i would rather it not be shipped bc i don't want random people to know my address. could you post it using snipboard please? i have not yet found any other image platforms that aren't blocked on my school computer.

Alright, I can try that platform, and I'm glad I don't have to worry about any possibility of shipping!
So, I do have a few more questions before I can start a sketch!
1- you said it's on an island. How big is the island? Does the town take up most of it, or is there a whole bunch more island left over?
2- are there any buildings you want in a specific location? Like town hall in the center, forest to any cardinal location, etc?
3- when I draw maps of towns, I tend to attempt some amount of realism by having some homes and/or farms on the outskirts/a few miles out. I also tend to draw some homes outside of neighborhoods areas. Is that okay with you?
4- I presume they are roads. Should some be named? If so, do you have any specific names for them? (Major roads like main street, I'm not going to name em all and crowd the page)
5- are you okay with the distances and scales of the map being absolutely all over the place? Because I cannot draw accurate distances and scales and can't do your map if you want them to be proper.
6- my handwriting is AWFUL, so all text will be written on top in a photo editor afterwards. Is that okay? I know not everyone appreciates the... Aesthetic differences of sans serif on a traditional drawing (I can use probably any font you request, or something similar if I can't find it)
7- is the other artist in the thread still working on their version? I don't want to steal their job or anything

1- the town should take up about half of the island, and the other half can be any mountainous and/or foresty terrain that you want it to be
2- the town hall should probably be generally in the center-ish area of the map, and the hospital should be pretty close, but the placement of everything else doesn't really matter
also, if it's not too much trouble, could you add a small cabin in the middle of a forest? it's for mysterious purposes, ooooh spooky lol
and possibly a boating dock?

4- i totally forgot about roads! i'm so sorry! could there be a main road that goes through the town just called "Main Street" and small roads that might lead to a neighborhood or something you have creative liberty naming
5- i'd actually prefer the map to be pretty random, though it would probably be pretty odd if there was a coffee shop that was like, twice the size of an apartment building or something.

Heya, my jerk cat got bored and dumped my water cup across the map. It's absolutely ruined, I'm going to have to restart the map. It's going to just be black and white pen this time, since the painting attempt didn't exactly go too well.
