Moonpaw
Moonpaw stuck close to Shadowstar as they crossed through Shadowclan's territory towards the Twolegplace. Her nose wrinkled in disgust as they got closer to the Thunderpath. "What is that stink?"

"That would be the Thunderpath. We aren't at it yet, though," Shadowstar said, looking over at Twolegplace.
"You know, I was born over there. I've always wondered what became of my mother."

Moonpaw looked at her leader wide-eyed. "I thought you were born in the forest. Did you not like living with the Twolegs? I though kittypets liked them?"

She pressed her ears back and frantically tried to backpedal as she realized that might be taken as an insult. "Not that you're a kittypet ... I mean you're the leader ... I ...."

"Yes, my mother was a kittypet. My father, though, was of wilder stock. And I'd heard rumors of what twolegs would do to kittypet toms, making them fat and lazy, and I really didn't want that," Shadowstar said, hoping she didn't catch his lie.

Moonpaw could understand that, she wouldn't have wanted to be anything except a forest cat either. It was strange to think of Shadowstar outside the clan but she did know how hard it was to be split up from family. Her voice became a little more melancholy and longing as she asked, "Do you ever miss your mother? Or your father?"

"I never really knew my father, only what my mother told me. She said he was a strong cat, that he looked a lot like me. But yeah, I do miss my mother sometimes. However, it could be worse. I'm still a tom, after all. Come on, let's go to the Thunderpath."

Moonpaw was a little stunned at her own bravery in asking such personal questions - she was just an apprentice for Starclan's sake! She couldn't help but be a little glad that Shadowstar had decided not to be a kittypet, he'd been in the clan since she was a kit and she couldn't imagine having a different leader, even if it was a little intimidating to also have him as her mentor.

The thunderpath seemed absolutely awful but she wasn't going to complain, and instead continued following Shadowstar to see the rest of the territory.

Shadowstar stopped her at the verge of the Thunderpath and said, "Can you smell anything?"

(sorry! It was 8 in the morning. I was up all night and passed out!)
Ravenfur
Ravenfur, looked at the other cats tail waving gently as she hummed uneasily ears flicking back and forth seeing if anything was out of the ordinary.

Terror
Terror heard a patrol nearby and hissed to herself, turning and puffing her fur in preparation of a fight. She was ready to thrash some cats.
