The world I've decided for us to use is the one with the highly developed city~
That world runs on a five element system, with a god reigning over each of those magics. So, if you'd like to use a magic user, they'd have to fit under that system. There are other lesser gods as well, but we'll meet them as the time comes for it.
The elements are Fire, Water, Wind, Plant, and Earth
Each element also has a reigning color, being Red, Purple, Blue, Green, and Yellow/Gold respectively, if that helps with your character design at all.
Other than that, you should do as you like! I'll be running two characters, one a magic user and one not. so do as you please~

Said magic user of mine is highly proficient within ice magic and, being quite an oddity, the concept of roses and thorns.
The non magic user may or may not be a Monster Hunter OC lmao

Ice is a subgenre of water, but I'm not sure what you mean about the thing with roses and thorns. In this universe though, your powers are given to you as a gift from a god, so it would't be possible for him to have two.
My magic user is a young blacksmith with fire magic. His magic is higly refined and posh, but he prefers not to use it, instead relying on more solid concepts like physical weaponry.
My non-magic user is a world renowned detective from the capital, who, although is not a magic user, has a unique skill to remember his past lives, which is what makes him such an amazing detective.
Also, as a clarification, the city is a mid-sized city on the eastern coast of a continent. Although it is a port city and it does get a fair amount of small-item trade, they're still mid-sized because the city is surrounded on all other sides by dense woods. Although there are plenty of safe paths, there are still many monsters in the woods that prevent traders from moving bigger items like lumber and furniture.
They're also a big fishing and tourist city.

I have a half-orc non magic user in mind but she's efficient in most types of beast mastery and she has a pet Alligator, I'll expand more when we get a character sheet up.

So! The two guilds are called the "Black Lotus" (for the eastern town) and the "Red Angels" (for the western town)
My OC is part of Black Lotus, so he lives in the eastern city of Yue. Red Angel is in the western town of Theus. Yue's main export is wine and juice, and they have very famous vineyards. Theus's main export is rice and other grain plants.

Name: No one really knows, she's just known as "The Child".
Appearance: Refer to the Demonmancer from Soul Knight. She looks more childlike than the sprite, but the sprite itself is her general appearance.
Age: Undetermined.
Weapon: A giant greatsword of odd make that is at least 3 times her size, yet she flings it with ease like any jacked warrior would.
Magic: She only has one true spell, rumor has it she made it herself.
Amii's Burning Body, which flares up a burning aura around her, burning those she considers an enemy for mild but quick ticking damage. Her speed is slightly increased, and summons motes of fire elementals for every foe she "knocks out", and two if the blow ends up fatal. The aura can conjure up motes with this as well, and motes can fight with "The Child". When Amii's Burning Body is cast again, up to 3 motes vanish and the aura range increases per mote consumed.
Pronouns: Feminine
Personality: "The Child" is, well, a kid, generally, so she tends to be very chaotic but does tend to calm herself quite quickly. Her chaotic nature seems to transfer to combat, with her inconsistent movement with her magic and blade.
Likes: Chaos. But she also enjoys a quick snack of two.
Dislikes: Oddly enough, chocolate. She doesn't like chocolate for some ungodly reason.
Strengths: She catches plenty off-guard with her appearance before she deals massive damage with a swing of her greatsword.
Weaknesses: Because she's small, she doesn't have that good of health and can only take a few hits.
Voice Claim: Unknown

Name: Mara short for "Namara" but no one calls her it but her mother.
Appearance: Mara is a 5' 9" half-orc that has dark brown skin and sharp green eyes showing under her long thick jet black hair with red streaks pulled into a tall ponytail with a ribbon her father gave her. Her nose was broken before but doesn't look too bad since she set it herself, it just has a slight bend to the left, right under her nose is two small tusks pointing out from her mouth with her lips looking big. She wears a one piece shorts suit with armor over it it being brown and red with the armor plates being steel.
Age: 24
Weapon/Magic: Mace with two blunt sides they meet in the middle and spread out into flat circles going out. She also has an affinity for beast mastery and has an alligator for a pet and battle companion.
Pronouns: she/her
Personality: Mara is a stubborn, thick skulled individual who takes criticism to heart. One thing she does not take kindly to is negative criticism to her fighting she loves to beat her opponent so she can hear the bones crunch. (She is an orc after all.)
Likes: to practice fighting, reptiles, books but you wouldn't know it.
Dislikes: cats(has a phobia of it), sweets, mainly cotton candy. (She finds it fattening.)
Strengths: enhanced strength(more than a human body builder twice her size) Her animal friends. Sewing skills (since she's almost always had to adjust her clothes.)
Weaknesses: due to her size she tends to be physically slow. Most people stereotype her so she has a fragile ego and tends to overreact to criticism.
Voice Claim: Unknown
