Going to throw my 2 cents and say that I completely support this.
Seeing as a single pet dye can completely FIX this issue on both themed pets and with purebreds, why not just make it a non-issue entirely and let all themed be 100% what they're supposed to be right from the start. Nobody "loses" anything with this suggestion; it's just a simple win across the board for collectors and breeders alike.
And as has been mentioned before... having more accurate colors on a themed pet doesn't INCREASE its value in the slightest - most people don't even notice it. But having horribly "off" colors can actually DECREASE a themed pet's appeal to breeders, since those minor little issues can compound themselves through the generations.
All it does is HURT a themed pet's potential value - and those values are already suffering enough without RNG color swings kicking them down even further.
