"Be quick," Jack shouted, sprinting back down the platform to the cell. The door was still open, the automatic mechanism whining as it strained to slide shut. There was a howl behind them and he snapped around to see the dogs charge along the platform.

Rhia vanishes again. A moment later a black streak dashes out and attacks the legs of the dog in front.

(I think I got Shade mixed up and confused.)

Shade's portal was still open but closing slowly. He was to tired to swoop after it so he followed the others.

"Go, just go!" Nicote yelled. He was at the back of the group, and frantically tryign to think o fa way to get the dogs away.

The dog in front stumbled and tripped, but the other dog just jumped right over it.

Jack and Victoria jumped into the cell. The dog was gaining. The duo and the random inmate were wrestling with the seat. They were going to be trapped inside the cell with the creature at this rate.

Shade didn't want the monster to be stuck inside with the others, and so he skidded to a halt and faced the mut. He spread his wings to look bigger and snarled, brandishing his tail.

Suddenly, the black streak stops. Standing between the dogs and the three is a tiny, eight-tailed black fox, bearing its teeth in a snarl.

NIcote quickly slipped inside. PUlling out the screwdrive he'd stuffed down his pants (dont ask), he started using it as a wedge. Which sort of worked.

When all seemed lost the toilet seat popped free, sending them flying backward onto the bed. The cell door slid home, bolts securing it in place, and the dog crashed into the bars. They bent alarmingly, but they held. The creature thrashed against the metal for a few seconds before the siren cut through the prison again. It stood outside the cell, fixing them all with a silver glare like it was remembering our faces. Then it howled and fled back to the staircase, ignoring the dragon hybrid and the kitsune

The fox is clearly surprised, but simply vanishes back into the shadows.
