Shade saw the begging Skull person as a distraction, not one care for the person, and then quickly flew over besides Victoria and Rhia. He was planning to probably take the two away from the hound, but he landed right by the dog first and spread his wings wide. The death black shuddered and struggled as it shifted to a bright red with his freckles, frills bursting from his jaw and spreading to draw much attention. "Hey! Mut!" He snarled.

Nicote finally managed to slip out formrom the bar hed been cracking at. Running past the cells, he finally got to a place where he could see everything.

He groaned, seeing the skull member. Of course he had to go play hero and save the day....again....why him...

He glanced aorund then kept running, as best as he could, heading for the courtyard area. If he child just get to a more strategic position......

He kept going until he was right where he wanted-a point behind vikcy and Jack. And then he did something stupid: he yelled at the dkgs to bak off and pushed himself in front to the duo.

Hed deal with he consequences (tand the skull kid) later.

(Dunno how feasible this is but whateve)

The dog unleashed a deafening howl as it fell down. Despite being three floors up it landed perfectly, speeding across the stone, but not before it could growl threatening at Rhia and Shade.

The second dog had also leaped from the platform and both were now closing in on their new victim. The Skull was backing off, his face a mask of fear. He still held the sharpened wooden spoon in one hand and he waved it in front of him. It looked like someone trying to stop a train with a toothpick.

"They're gonna be back up here any minute," Jack muttered. "We have to keep moving."

The dogs crouched down on their haunches, looking for a second as if they were about to curl up and go to sleep. But then they both sprang forward, jaws open impossibly wide. The place where the Skull had been standing was suddenly a blur of color, different shades of red battling it out with flashes of silver and shards of dirty white for supremacy in the sickening tableau.

It was over in seconds. Vicky didnt watch the dogs finish their meal, she just followed Jack as he leaped up the stairs again. Beneath them she heard a pair of blood-curdling howls gargled through wet throats, then the sound of claws on metal as the dogs once again scaled the stairwell.

He didn't want to follow the dogs but he sure as heck wasn't ganna run from them. Shade kept his frills flared and attempted to try and go after the muts to give the others time to try and get to safety. Or at least keep them at bay or die trying.

Nicote didnt want to know what the skull gang would do. He doubted theyd stick like a pack.

He followed Jack and Vicky, more becuas get edogs would ignore him and more that if he was here, the dogs might not attack jack and Vicky. Sitil, he was muttering prayers under his breath.

Poor kid. But he had killed......and those who killed interntionally deserved the same.

Rhia appears again, and leads Vic forward again. Her eyes are dark and intense, a bit of a scary look in such a small thing.

"What's the point?" Victoria asked breathlessly as they reached the fourth level and kept on running. "They're going to catch us."

Vicky stopped for an instant to catch her breath and stole a glance through the stairs. One dog was below, bounding up the steps with frightening speed. The other was scaling the steps at the far end of the platforms. They were boxing the five of them in.

Fear lending Vic strength, she pushed up past the fifth level to the sixth, and was about to keep climbing when she saw a sight that she didnt quite believe. Midway down the row, a cell door was half-open, wedged in place by a toilet seat, of all things. Standing on the platform waving frantically at us was an inmate who didn't really want to see them all killed.

Rhia notices and shoves Vic towards the open cell with a lot more strength than you would expect from a 5-foot girl with the weight of a large rodent.

"And people wonder why "Go for that cell, I can probably hold them off a bit, the warden doenst want me killed or else he'll have craziness on his hands again." NIcote told the others. I
