"Do you want to play with Mellow and Roxy?' Kai offers.

She smiles. "That would be nice, its been ... years since I've actually played, to be honest."

Suddenly the fox and dog are right in front of her.

She eeps softly, a rare sound, in shock.

Neither Jack nor Victoria saw the portal. The dogs burst from the shadows like hounds from hell, send by the devil to tear sinners to pieces and drag their screaming souls back to the underworld. The sheer power of their twisted bodies was betrayed by their lack of skin, their exposed muscles and tendons flexing and glistening in the unforgiving light of Furnace as they came to a halt in the middle of the yard.

Worst of all were their eyes--two emotionless silver pennies that shone from their wet faces, scanning the ground and eventually fixing on the duo. Victoria stared back, lost in the twin moons of each creature, the glare and invisible fishing line that hooked itself into her eyes and stopped her from running. For a moment, nobody moved. But then one of the hounds raised its head and unleashed a howl--a sickening noise that sounded like the screams of a dying man--and charged.

"Come on," she heard Jack shout, him grabbing her shoulder. She turned and bolted after him as he made for the nearest staircase, hearing the dogs scream again as they closed in for the kill, hearing the noise in the surrounding cells reach a crescendo as the inmates settled in for the show.

Riley places his hands over his ears, closing his eyes and putting his knees up to his chest, scooting away from the door, pretty sure by the sounds of things that what ever was going on outside his cell was not good.
"Tell me when it's over." Riley mutters, trying to block out the noises from the Furnace.

Aaron didn't dare look out the cell. She could hear the cheering though. She didn't want to watch another poor person get ripped apart so she just sat there with her hands over her eyes, shaking her head. This moment here was why few of the gangs in the Furnace had ever tried to recruit her. She may have been strong and smart, one of the kids in here who had murdered to end up here, but she had sympathy. A trait undesirable. She just waited for this to be over, for some scream then silence so she could continue on fine.

Shade heard the cries and was actually a bit shaken by them, though he'd heard dying creature sounds over a million times before. He quickly, clenching his jaw, went through the portal but had to spread his wings right away once on the other side, now outside where he probably would die because these two people got left out. 'Great, now I'm like my brother. Soft and trying to 'be a hero'.' He thought to himself.

(Wondering if I should drop Nicote in? I'm halfway sure the warden doenst want him dead and wouldnt allow it......?)
