She looked at the necklace and took it before hugging him tightly

William hugs Maple back tightly. "I will be back I promise Maple," William said.

"n-n-not all p-p-promises c-can be k-kept w-w-william" she said sniffling a little and leaving her room silently, she got a few looks from passing maids but said nothing

William became sad and sighed. He leaves the room and heads outside. "You are right on all promises can't be kept but I will keep this promise until my dying breath Maple because you are worth it," William said.

She sighed depressingly, the fact that tonight may be her last night to see him made her sick 5o her stomach but she heard the music start and debated if she should go or stay where she was

William sighed and walks back inside. He spots his parents and walked up to them. "Mother, Father I would like to speak to you," William said. William's parents nods their head and start to talk with William. "Mother Father please make sure Maple is safe while I am away to fight in the war," William said after they are alone. "Of course we will William and Maple can have any family member over that fully support her," William's mother said.

She silently walked to the dance held in the ballroom where she first had met william, she sighed and walking in Depressingly and heading to stand next to the bar of drinks again

William nods and walks to the dance floor. He see Maple at the bar of drinks and walk towards her. "Care for this dance my lady," William said to Maple.

She nodded and took his hand as they walked to the dance floor

William smiled gently at Maple and starts to dance with her.
