Carter stopped and crouched down beside Nyx, looking worried "How do we get past them?"

I have a plan, but promise me you and TJ will run on ahead.

Nyx had an idea, glaring from Lazi and back towards Carter and TJ. She could hear Slys nervous whimper play in her head.

"I promise, as long as it does not harm you in any way," He promised worry sparking in his eyes "What where you thinking?"

Nyx stalked away from the two, soon at another side of the meadow. She quickly gathered a small pile if dead leaves from the forest and creating a fire. The fire rose into the air, the flame burning bright to attract the grey ones. Nyx remained hidden, glancing around wearily.

The grey ones looked over, allowing Carter to grab TJ and drag them both around the meadow.
"It's a distraction," Lazi yelled looking even more angry "Now find them before I do!"

Nyx gritted her teeth before swiftly dashing across the meadow, somehow remaining undetected. She slipped behind Lazi, wrapping her arm around Lazis neck, tightening her grip. She probably would be able to break away with enough force, she was just attempting to focus the attention on her.

Lazi smiled and suddenly she held Nyx, her sword against her throat "Got you!"

Carter froze as he watched before running forward, thinking he could help.
"Let her go," He shouted running up to her, getting surrounded by grey ones before he had even ran half way "uh oh."

"Oh no, how terrible."

Nyx muttered sarcastically, kicking Lazi behind her knees to weaken her balance.

She let go and pushed Nyx forward "Come with us, unless you don't mind your little friend dieing," She smiled and was suddenly beside Carter, who jumped at the sudden appearance of Lazi.

"Gladly."

Nyx was surprisingly calm for the situation. She shot a glance towards Carter and TJ, as if telling them to leave her and continue on.
