There was a younger echidna nearby who looked up in surprise at Selkie's words, eyes flashing with worry and... rage? He didn't look like he was going to fight, however.

The Chieftain's expression darkened. "Void. Tell me more about this person," He said, voice carrying a soft growl.

Kaladin looked worried as well, shifting uncomfortably.

Collin smiled. "This is perfect, I'll bring Noble over now, " He said, trotting off to do so.

"I do not know much about Void as I have only heard of her deeds a few times. From what I have heard Void is a killer after power. I believe the messenger said Void had been engaged to a prince but then the prince dumpped her, whatever that means. Void has creatures not from this world to her advantage. Starlight believed Void had dark magic on her side. That all I know of Void." Selkie explained his limited knowalge.

The young echidna lowered his gaze, stood up, and walked off.

The Chieftain clasped his hands together and huffed, as if troubled by the news. ".....What is it you would have us do?"

Kaladin frowned.

"From what Starlight said I would guess work with the Knights of the Emerald to defeat Void. I speak on the behalf of myself and what is left of my crew once I go rescue them that we will help you in way we can during and after the war." Selkie spoke camly and clearly trying to hide his worry.

(So what island is it that Reaper will attack? sry i can't remember what island you meant.)

The Chieftain muttered to himself, shaking his head slowly. After a moment of this he finally responded. "It is worrisome that my people are just now hearing of this. Do you happen to know much time we have before she strikes?"

Kaladin closed his eyes and grimaced. "How would an outsider even know about...?" The final few words were lost as his voice trailed off.

"I am sorry but I don't know any more about Void or her timetable then I said I was not informed." Selkie answered the chief's question and Kaladin's "Starlight has a strange gift from what I can tell Kaladin, she knows things that most people don't."

"Not Starlight," The young echidna growled as he passed, now carrying a sling and a pouch of stones. He had a vengeful yearning in his voice. "Kaladin was referring to Void. You'd have to be an Echidna to even know about what exactly she's after, and a Guardian to know the exact location," He didn't say anything else, and disappeared into the forest.

Kaladin looked at the Chieftain. "Ngumkhapheli*...?!"
The Chief shook his head. "A brash assumption, young one,"

"Sorry I was just saying what I overheard nothing more nothing less. Who knows it could be a Nocturnus Clan echidna who told Void." Selkie suggested trying to calm everyone.
Selkie looked at Kaladin for help. Fisher squaked louder then landed on Selkie's shoulder squeezing hard.

"I don't care family first our crew is in peril ,Selkie if you are anything like your father you would go help them NOW!" Fisher screeched.

Kaladin frowned, eyes still screwed shut. "The Nocturnus do not know their location.... most of our clan doesn't even know. I don't even know."

The Chieftain turned. "We need time." He said, walking off.

Kaladin sighed. "So. It's come to this..."
