"Your trusting me when you hardly know anything about me. Besides you need to know what it is and how it happened anyway..." he slightly trailed off as he sat down on the branch and stared at the pavement.

I sat down on the branch quiet and thinking about what he just said ''I understand what you mean by the trust part'' I stared into the distance.

"My left eye is a glass eye. My sister... she gave it to me as a parting gift. Before she left she turned into a wolf and scratched my eye out and I'm her twin brother. Usually I transform my eye to how it originally looked but I must have forgotten to. It was weird anyway because my left eye was dark brown so maybe my sister actually thought she was being nice, but with her I can't know..." he turned to look you straight in the eyes.

Then, he did the last thing you expected. He lifted up his hair and showed you his glass eye. It stared emptily at nothingness while his real eye looked down to the floor because he didn't want to look you in the face and see you jerk back in disgust like most do.

I stared at the eye in awe as he showed it to me ''I am so sorry your sister did that to you'' I looked away my ''my grandpa had a glass eye he was also a shifter as I called them when I was younger he usually changed into a fox'' I looked over at him and continued ''then when my mom died my dad started drinking and he stopped me from seeing them'' I looked in the opposite direction as tears brimmed my eyes, but before they could fall I caught them.

Jax gently squeezed your hand then pulled away as not to make it awckward "My family..." his eyes were teary but nothing came out. He sat their silently after that and tried to comfort you.

I smiled at him ''you don't have to talk about your family if it pains you too much'' I patted Jax on the shoulder a comforting pat ''ya my grandma used to call me her little Nashoba she was also a shifter her normal animal was a cat'', I looked over at Jax '' what was your sister like before she went all crazy?''

"She was never normal... I should have seen the signs. Everytime she got a new doll it's head would mysteriously end up falling off. Just like all the eyes on her stuffed animals fell out as well. I have a feeling all those years when she was ripping the eyes out her stuffed animals she was pretending they were me." he slightly shivered at the thought, "This conversation got dark fast. Anyway, ya wanna see what my eye looked like before or do you think you can handle walking around with me while my eyes like this?" he looked at you once more and gave you a weak smile.

''I think it would be cool to see what it looked like before '' I looked at him warmly as his weak smile made me frown inwardly, ''to be honest my sister never ever really paid attention to me'' I looked at the grass thinking what it would look like if it all of a sudden caught a flame.

"One sec..." he turned away from you to concentrate on changing just his eye.

He then tuned back around and lifted his hair once more. His right eye was a bright blue while his left was a dark brown.

"I actually kinda miss my eye. Even though it was a little weird." he smiled again but this time it was a real genuine smile.

When he smiled he had one dimple on the left and none on the right. But the weirdest thing was his right cheek had a few freckles when he smiled but his left was completely clear other than the dimple.

my eyes widened ''that is so cool'' I studied his eye the blue from the dark brown ''that is really cool'' I smiled brightly ''why again did she take your eye?''
