I grumble and the light dims to a soft glow as I continue to walk, my eyes adjusting to the shadows, incase something or someone jumps out at me.

Something rustles above you. Maybe it's the wind, but a few leaves fall. The wind isn't that strong.

My ears twitched and I turned my crimson eyes and golden fur fluffed slightly in worry.

Something bolts from a branch as you turn your eyes towards it. You hear yet another rustle on your left, probably of the thing landing.

My ears continue to swerve to find it, as I stop moving all together my large size double now that I was puffed up like a cat.

Ah, there it is. A shadowy figure is perched high on a branch above you. You can only see its eyes, gleaming and fixated on you.

I sit my crimson eyes glowing in curiosity, and I cock my head to the side.

It also appears to tilt its head. Something dark drifts down from it, down to you. Plus some leaves.

I stay planted as smoke starts to drift from my fur, and I move my head the other way, my ears twitching.

It copies your movement.

The black object that had been drifting down lands at your feet. It's a dark feather. After a few seconds, it dissolves into light and spreads away.
