a few hours later abyss wakes up to papyrus yelling at cosmo.

Template waved a hand in exasperation. "How do you think this place lost all of it's color?? I mean, draining AUs is kinda his thing."

As Template went on a bit of a tangent, Pale continued to stare at Currence.

Ink idly tipped his head to the side, studying his work. "...Yeah. Yeah! That's it!" He chimed to himself. "One down--! ... Uh... lots more to go."

Cosmo kept a calm demeanor. "Pap, Pap, bro. Sorry I didn't call you about them sooner," He spoke. "I've had a load on my mind lately."

Crow stirred, letting out a soft groan. He seemed to nestle slightly into the quilt that Cosmo must have drapped over him at some point while Abyss was asleep.

"do I look familiar to you?" currence asks.

abyss watches in silence.

"No." Came Pale's blunt, emotionless reply. It seemed like that was the most response Currence was going to get out of him.

"well you should have been able to make time between your little power naps!" papyrus yells at cosmo

Pale didn't reply.
Blue frowned. "Guess he's not much of a talker?"
Template shrugged in response. "No, not really. Well, normally, anyway. After he absorbs all the creativity in an AU though, that's another story entirely."

"I've been awake this whole time, bro." Cosmo defended, knowing better than to yell back at him. "I needed to check on that bird guy at least a dozen times in the past half hour alone."

"but you don't want him doing that, right?" currence assumes

"and in between those times you could have called me!" papyrus yells at the top of his voice.

Template huffed. "Now you get it."

"In between those times I was working." Cosmo responded simply. "Indoor voice please."

"well, we need to find a giant snake real fast, like two minutes ago."

"working my foot!" papyrus says, slightly less louder.

Cosmo looked at his brother with a neuteral expression. "Yeah, okay, that's a fair assumption." He sighed, then went on. "Look. Again, sorry I didn't call. Next time I'll let you know first chance I get, alright?" He hesitated briefly before adding, "I promise,"

"Giant snake...?" Template blinked in puzzlement.
Blue perked up. "Yeah! Have you seen anything like that??Ink was saying--"
Template bolted in surprise, eyes wide. "Wait, you guys know Ink?!" He exclaimed, sounding enthralled.

Pale, on the other hand, began to walk off. It was clear he'd have to look for feeling elsewhere.
