"And why would I believe you?"

"How would I know you heard a scream if you'd only imagined it?" She challenges.

Lyla narrowed her eyes. "Maybe you have hallucinations, too. Or maybe you're just some freak that can read minds..." It probably wasn't the latter

She shrugs. "Nope, I don't do either. There's a lotta weird stuff in this place, but telepathy isn't one of 'em, and unless everybody had one mass hallucination it definitely wasn't fake."

Revilla woke up from her bed, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. Her nurse was busy handling her various medication and her breakfast. All Revilla could think about was last night. More or less what Evan had said.
Did he truly mean it? I-I can't force him to stay here though. What kind of person would I be to do that? HE sounded so confident about it.. And then there I go pouring out my thoughts on him... I hope he won't avoid me now.
Her head was filled with thought until her nurse interrupted.
"Good morning Revilla. Did you rest better than usual? You're normally awake when I come in." Her voice was soft and caring.
"I slept very well. I think I slept five hours..." Revilla paused, and suddenly looked up at her nurse with a light in her eyes. "Oh! I need to tell you, would you mind letting me have a visitor? I-I told him he could visit me daily."
The nurse frowned at the use of "him".
"Now, Revilla, are you sure it's wise to let a male in here..? I don't mean to be picky but with your past I don't think thats wise-"
"He's fine. Do you think I'd let him in if I even picked up a hint he was like any... any of those men?"
The nurse gave a sigh. She knew Revilla was right.
"For your sake, I don't want him in here after 8:00 sharp. Nurse's orders, alright..?"
Revilla gave a little sigh herself, and nodded.

"Well then, since you know everything, why did whoever screamed scream? Were they in danger? Were they being tortured? What happened?"

One of the petting animals, a goofy looking boxer dog, comes in and licks Revilla.

"There's some weird.. things that have been going down the hallways at night." She explains. "They attacked two people, the first of which was the one that screamed. Not quite sure what happened to her, but she's probably dead."

"There was blood in the hallway this morning, but I'm not sure it was from either of the victims," Lyla offered

"There's blood in both of 'em. The one on the right is the one where she got presumably killed- managed to ward those things away from the other."
