(Oh no, ummm...)
"Wow, Sybille. You're pretty big, aren't you?" I noted with a light tone in my voice. I pondered for a moment, and looked up at her. "I suppose you need a lot more food than I do, hmm?" I had noticed her long claws and sharp teeth on the first encounter, and supposed she was a carnivore. "Do you need to hunt soon?"
(I really want to ask to ride her but it seems so rude so I went with that xD)

I face palmed myself for the terrible "quick thinking." I went and thought about my memories for a moment, then replied with, "They were tested for a certain stew. A way to create new life. The Sorceress wanted to create a companion- a familiar, if you will."

I don't suppose there are any cases where that rule has been broken, has there?
Shadow Laughs lightly.
I figured you would hear about a case like that happening, I've heard sound travels faster underwater.

(Sybille likes you c:.)
With a clack of her beak, Sybille swayed her head back in forth, as if to say 'no.'

Aislinn shook her head quietly. "It's impossible. It just can't happen. Well..." she trailed off.
There was a pause before she gave in to her thoughts with a small sigh. "There was one woman; her name was Nayeli. She was forced to wed a man, as she was captured. He was an ugly brute of a human, and he constantly hurt her and bossed her around. She was forced to do what he said. No questions asked. One day, she tried to kill him, hoping it would break the bond. The knife she used turned against her, though, and fell into her chest, killing her. Of course, that's just an old tale, though. There's no way of knowing if it's real.

"The snakes would help by having their- er- energy and venom converted into a vapor. If it were powerful enough, that vapor would cool into a liquid and become the 'blood' of the Familiar. However, as they were both tested, it wasn't strong enough. So to fix that problem... Well, let's just say she put a curse down on them, mainly by poisoning of the food. The poison slowly attracted their souls together, and soon enough, when they were drugged by a final poisoning, the Sorceress carefully removed their heads from their bodies, and sewed them together on a new body. It worked, as their souls were combined and couldn't separate."

But perhaps if one had a strong will, they could just break the "rule" themselves?

Slowly, both Gre and Ver began to smile. "Dark and twisted. Just how we like it."

"It has nothing to do with will!" Aislinn snapped suddenly. "It is not a rule, either. It's Nature's way. Nayeli did not drop the knife. The knife burned her to the point of where she let go. It fell at such a strange angle, an angle that should not be possible, until it hit her chest. If a selkie were to try to break free of the bond, Nature would kill her."
