She leaped down flattening her ears and looking at her paws " Yes Sir"

"Katana," he said, "I know I seem harsh, but you do need a break. You've been running for who knows how long, and you're about dead on your paws even now. You can hide it all you want, but I see your exhaustion. I've seen more than my fair share of others who've gone through your current situation, and believe me when I say that it doesn't end well more often than not. So, please, relax tomorrow. I promise you that no one here wants to hurt you, rather they want to do the opposite."

Sam smiled at her, "Try to get some more sleep, okay? I'll see you again in a few hours."

She nodded and offered a soft smile before padding back to the room Tikki and Thomas still cuddled silently. Minka who had been awake padded quietly into Katanas Quarters. "He Is Right young one..." she said softly. Katana jumped slightly " You must be Minka.. " Minka Nodded" That is me dear, your Paws are in less than optimal shape the scar tissue is wicked... in fact I'd like to talk to you about those scars.." with that Minka Padded out of the room gesturing for her to follow. Minka paused for a moment she wasn't sure if Sam needed to hear this or not. " Katana Paused behind her " If I'm gonna talk I want him there" Minka nodded "while we talk the cream can set..."

Sam lifted his head, hearing the doors of the train slide open again not long after Katana had gone in. When he saw Minka, he knew immediately what it was about. He leapt down from the top of the train.

"Good morning, Minka," he greeted her with a nod.

She returned his nod and padded into her room where Katana was sitting " So lets Begin..." Minka said padding to a basket in the corner where she pulled out a tupperware container filled with a white cream. Katana Laid on her side so the bottoms of her pads were exposed. Mika began to smooth the cream on her pads, Katana cringed a bit but then relaxed " So dear Upon your examination I noticed several large scars... your coat covers them well but there's not an inch of you that's not scared... care to explain?" Katana Sighed " Most of the Minor ones are from training and Drills. but the Bite marks and Deep fresh Lacerations You saw were Deltas doing... " Minka nodded and how long ago did you get these injuries?" Minka Asked " About two weeks ago... Is when it started I have only been dodging delta for a little more than a week" Minka Nodded " Now.... I may be no genius but lacerations don't heal as quickly as yours.... how?" Katana flattened her ears and looked at sam her Amber eyes told only the truth " The department was using us as experiments... we got injections of immune boosters that would assist in healing... but thats as far as we got we weren't strong enough for the second phase.."

Sam was quiet, listening to Katana's words. Internally, he was a raging storm of fury. He hated humans that thought animals were just disposable tools to be discarded when broken. He especially loathed human scientists, people that generally didn't care whether or not the animals they experimented on could feel pain. They rarely ever gave their subjects any anesthesia, leaving the animals awake to watch as they tried to see what made them tick.

He'd know, he'd been through it before.

She Flattened her ears " I'm Sorry..." Minka looked at her wiping off her paws "Don't apologise dear.... i just needed to know... there are some medicines that won't work because your Immune system cannot be suppressed... That's all I needed To know" She glanced at Sam before paddling out leaving the two alone for a moment to gather her thoughts

Sam, trying his best to emotionally cool off, just gave Katana a strained smile, "On the upside, you'll be hard to kill through using poisonous things."

She tilted her head and Smirked " Poisons pretty specific you got plans pretty boy?"

Sam huffed, laughing, "The only thin' I could ever 'poison' ya with would be sugar!"
