Ackley paused at his door, looking around. He swore he heard someone get hit. He shrugged it off, entering his room.

Scarlett whisper-yelled, "What were you thinking?! Are you stupid?! At least have the common sense to steal them when Snape's guard isn't up! Idiot!" She glared and started walking to her dorm room, leaving Steven alone.

The morning rolled around and Ackley found himself in the dining hall for breakfast, sitting beside Snape. They spoke in hushed tones, eyes glancing toward certain students ever so often.

Scarlett and Steven hadn't arrived yet, Scarlett was lecturing Steven on what he did.

Dumbledore finally arrived, catching the attention of some of the students. The hall went silent for a second before the noise started up again. The morning mail arrived, birds flying in to give students their mail.

Steven and Scarlett both arrived right after Dumbledore, their owls both coming and bringing their mail to them. Steven's owl sat on his shoulder and Scarlett had hers on her forearm.

Professors don't tend to get their mail at the same time as the students, their birds always give them their mail in private. So, the professors watched as birds flew in and out of the hall, students clamoring about their letters and gifts.

Snape and Ackley spoke in hushed whispers, standing away from the table now.

Scarlett gasped as she read her letter. "Oh no." She sounded distressed. Steven looked at her and tilted her head. "What happened?" He asked. "My parents are coming to Hogwarts." She said, chewing her lip.

Some students watched as Ackley and Snape left, their paces quickening by the second.

Steven raised an eyebrow, "What is so bad about that?" He asked. Scarlett didn't answer. The anticipation and stress of her family entering Hogwarts and her having to act like a perfect student building slowly behind her emotionless expression.
