Yes, it is a huge part of him. The tattoo represents his mothers side of the family (with which his father married into to gain the power and status he has). Cian's mother was murdered by humans when he was only little. His father was out on a hunt, and his mother was just settling his baby sister into her crib when humans attacked their home. His mother hid him and went back for his sister but she never returned. T-T

Yes, in his world he is a demon (demons and angels being a genetic mutation in some humans DNA making them different. Its recessive and rare though more so in Cian's time period. In my other character's time period [Willow etc] it is more common) and humans are afraid of these creatures. Dani works for the organisation that hunts them down actually. And thats how the two met aha, when Cian was assigned to assassinate Dani and a few other members of this organisation.

I like this better than being totally different species. It is different and more interesting. Are there different types of demons? And what makes angels different from demons?

lol well actually *mad scientist* demons and angels are actually split personalities of the same thing. Well at least they were. There are five sub-species of demons (though I may just ditch the fifth and make it 4 in fact strike that. There are four sub-species of demons) and four of angels. Lets take Willow for example, she is a demon, (ugh she was the striked[is striked even a word lol?] species lol) she is a *what I like to call* mage they are winged demons and would probably be most affiliated with the general look of Satan. However if she ever wanted to she could change her affiliation and become *what I call* a witch. Witches are the only angel species without wings.

However, due to [spoiler], in Cian's time period angels and demons are separate anomalies. So Cian is only a wolf.

The difference between the two (how one becomes predominantly angel rather than demon) depends on a substance that is "found" in the world. I should add that people cannot automatically decide they do not want to be demon and therefor change to angel, it is a harsh process that one takes years to learn to control. There are some lucky few who can but that is due to a natural virus that these people have *and the virus is not pretty aha*.

I was absorbing the information though, it is really interesting.

And I like how there is a price for being able to change. Is it really horrific-looking?

And maybe I should write up my own world sometimes But then you would see more of my Mary-sueish characters that I am too embarassed about.

Not horrific, but characters that have the virus tend to die from it. It weakens them and makes them forget things *Niamh has periods of time where she totally blanks out, these times usually come after she has over exerted her powers* Poor Sebastian has to pick up a fainted Niamh a few times throughout, why is she so damn stubborn, can't she be a good angel and just not get into trouble where she has to use her abilities.. *Sigh*.There are stages of the illness so the further in the more it *well if I had to really describe it I would call it a leach on their life, the longer they have it the more blood[life energy] it sucks out of them*

I wanted my main character to be strong and yet at the same time very weak. She is of strong opinion and a well skilled warrior, stubborn and not very good at making friends. But she is weak, because underneath her macho "I am better than everyone" she is very ill and needs help, needs support and most importantly needs someone to take care of her.

I would not mind :) and I am sure they are not as Mary-Sueish as you believe them to be aha.

And I am glad that you are enjoying my sharing of their world.
