She grins and nods. She then adds, "don't be weirded out when nobody else sees me. You're the only one who can see and hear me."

"That could be very handy. So what is this place?"

"We always end up in weird pockets like this. If you aren't either a god or if you weren't my connection, you'd be stuck here forever."

Her eyes grew wide. "Really? Why?"

"No idea. Not even the gods know why these places exist, or why it creates noxiviruisies."

"Hmm..." She was perplexed. "So how do you leave? Is it because you have a connection to me?"

She nods. "Yeah. We just walk in one direction and after a few minutes we'll see the entrance."

"How long have you been stuck in here for?"
