Saras had his weapons armed.

(Oh yeah, I don't write easy boss fights. I'll be gentler on you guys since we're not using dice or any kind of RNG, but I'll definitely still go for those broken limbs. This is the one time we don't have Hexic spam healing everyone, I will make glorious use of it.

"On 3. 1. 2."
She kicked the door open, raising her rifle.

Umbra
Inside there seemed to a man in sleek, black armor with vicious black antlers that hung over his helmeted face. His venomous and glistening, steel tail hung behind him under his ragged cloak. Something red and glowing was in his hands, but it was hard to tell what exactly with his back to the group.

Rey
"3."
She fired at him, just for Umbra to erupt in a shielding barrier of red electric with a bit of a laugh.

Umbra
He turned to face the group, the Daarizi core embedded into his armor now apparent. A laser, edged blade with crackling ice dropped from one of his armored gauntlets, while the other dropped a much longer blade of fire.
His eyes glowed malevolently as he eyed Rey and the others with a predatory glance over.
"You are foolish to turn your weapons on me. And as such. You will die, as all others have."

(My plan was for him to lose his left arm at the elbow.)
Saras' own blade slipped out, and he raised it, his weapons all trained on Umbra.

(I'll keep it in mind and oof, we really gonna be pack those robot limbs between him and Anya now)

(It's a chance to showcase another function of his armor.)

Traqil

He got into a position from which he could attack properly. His armor was bulky and thick, considering he specialized in a tanking style of combat, his ability to withstand stronger attacks than the average person powering him through many a fight.

"Good luck with that..." He mumbled as he eyed Umbra, searching for the best place to attack.

At the moment, he decided upon open firing, not sure where to attack, or even what to attack with. He decided upon his plasma rifle, hoping it would do at least a bit of damage.

(fumbling for appropriate boss type music because my brain is fuzz from my nerves screwing up. At least my vision isn't affected this time, so shouldn't get me too bad. I am trying to actively manage another boss fight over Discord tho so

Umbra
Traqil's shot seemed to dissipate with the electric barrier as he stepped forward, sloshing a cascade of silver-tinged water from his tail in Rey's direction.

(man, already rolling 1s on my own character. ooff, that's fine. You guys don't need to roll or anything, I'm just doing it since I want to make this more interesting for myself.)

Rey
Rey noted the barrier seemed to be blocking any gunfire in his direction. Maybe there was a way to get that core from him.. But the momentary observation cost her, she tried to move out of the way, just for the water to soak through the joints of her armor, causing her to grunt in pain as she was momentarily immobilized.

Umbra
"..Daarizi. Interesting, but not the one I was after."
He turned his attention on Saras and Traqil, sending a wave of ice and fire from a x-cross swing of his blades in their direction.

(That sounds like a great idea.)
Saras.dodged, dragging Traqil out of the way with him, then charged in, slashing with his blade.
(That's a 2 to hit.)

(dice give and they destroy. I find they eliminate the whole risk of godmodding though. I just basically use it a d20 as a form of cheap rng)

Umbra
Umbra took the hit hard on his shoulder, unable to react quickly as he stumbled back with a hard connect of the sword across the chest of his armor. Silver blood dripped from the break in the armor He rose a blade to attempt to defend himself against the rest of the barrage.

Rey
Rey had finally managed to recover from the watery, venom strike, but her movements were still slow. She took a shot at Umbra while he was distracted, managing only to hit the floor tile next to him with a resounding tink.

(six, also a bit pre-occupied, so might be delayed and short for a bit, but I will still reply.)

Traqil

He shot as best he could, aiming to dislodge the core from Umbra's armor.
