after awhile of rushing around and general panic, the frenzy dies down, and less and less people come through the center. after a few minutes, Angela walks in looking down trodden and carrying a small bundle wrapped in a pink blanket. "we need someone to take this new born pup, the mom didn't make it" she says, showing the pup to the rest of us. it's small, with a blue tail and pinkish hair. it's eyes are closed, not yet formed enough to open. it wont be able to talk for a few weeks.

Malis and Nana shakes their heads no even though they want to take the pup.

i havent gotten a pup even though i dont have a mate yet i would still like a pup to take care of

Angela nods, walking through the secret passageway into the enclosure, gently handing the pup to her and fretting over it. "take good care of her, ok? she's pretty fragile - she was just born and her mom didn't make t. we don't know who the sire is, all the mer in the breeding mill were carriers" she adds, stepping back. "if you will excuse me, i need to take a minute for myself" she says, fighting back tears.
