"I don't think I can kill you, either." Micah shrugged, then smiled. "I don't think I could kill anyone, actually. Unless they were threatening you... Or, you know, Janet, Austyn, or Silvia."

"So if I was threatening myself would you kill me?" Ray asks, mostly just joking around. "And you left Riley out. Does that mean I can put him in his own magic compartment?"

Micah laughed and pretended to think. "No I wouldn't kill you. And go ahead, just make sure he gets food and water."

Ray chuckles and nods. "Ok. So does that mean he'd be my pet? I mean, I would have the responsibility to feed him. And I guess I'd have to make sure the containers large enough for him and he has a few things to do so he can get exercise and not die of boredom." Ray pauses, "Yeah, so maybe sticking Riley in a magical compartment in a different dimension is not a good idea."

Micah laughed. "I guess not."

Ray grins at Micah, his hand brushing against his. For a moment his mind went blank and all he could think about was Micah, how his laugh was perfect, how he could be so fearless but claim he wasn't good at fighting, how he could be so kind and so courageous. He took too long thinking about Micah and was trying to find another witty comment.

Micah glanced at Ray, raising an eyebrow. "Are you okay?"

Ray chuckles and nods his head, a little embarrassed he had been caught thinking about him. "Yup." He glances around them. "So where is the Apollo cabin exactly? We must get there because you have a hurt arm." He completely skips over the fact that his wing is broken and that would be another reason to go.

Micah motioned toward Ray's wing, silently pointing out that Ray was hurt worse than he was. He opened the door to a cabin and stepped aside to let Ray in first.

Ray heads in, thanking Micah and realizing he had to do something nice for Micah because Micah was doing all these polite and nice things for him.
