Before shifting back into her human form, Velvet stretched as a Bengal Tiger. Shifting back, she pulled a pair of cobalt blue jeans and a bright pink t-shirt out of her backpack. "Avery, can you leave for a little while so I can change out of my dress?" Velvet asked, uncomfortably shifting back and forth between feet and rubbing her arms, staring down at the ground.

"I, uh, sure." He said, starting to walk away, so he wouldn't see her...changing. He sighed and disappeared behind a thick tree. It was tall and wise looking. Holding ancient knowledge. A history. What...was he think about? Gah! Thinking about trees... He touched the smooth bark. It was cool at his fingertips. He wondered when Velvet was done. He wasn't exactly the most patient person on the planet.

Dmitri yawned. "Leave her. She'll be fine. She's just touchy..." He suddenly straightened up. "DON'T YOU DARE TELL HER I SAID THAT!" He glared at each of them before slumping down and dozing off.

Shade was wandering through the forest aimlessly, not really doing much. She thought back to her encounter with Sophia. Trying to work out her plan. She stopped suddenly. When she arrived there were a group of grunts surrounding them. When she'd lit the fire Sophia had motioned to them and they'd disappeared. She knew that she wouldn't be able to kill shade, and she wouldn't kill her own son, so she must've...took the closest thing to it. "HARRY!" She frantically ran through the forest searching after this new revelation. After what seemed like hours of relentless searching she found him. His body was limp and bedraggled. It was pinned to the tree by arrows, his clothes and face smothered in blood. Attached to his chest was a note, it read.

'I warned you. S'

Shade fell to her knees and screamed. Birds flew from the trees and tears flooded from her . This gang was going to crumble if it was the last thing she did. This was so unfair. She'd known Harry for years, he'd been like a big brother, always willing to help. This was so the last straw. She made up her mind. She WILL defeat this gang, with or without help. This moment was provably the turning point for shade, she was never the same again.

(DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNN)

Velvet gently but quickly slipped off her dress and slipped on the jeans and t-shirt. Neatly folding the dress and placing it in her backpack, she called out to Avery. "You can come out now Avery!" Walking over yo the spring nearby, she took out 2 cups from her backpack and flicked her finger, cleansing the water and filling the cups with the clean water. Striding back over to where Avery was now standing, she handed him a cup of water and sat down to brush her hair. Taking out a soft brush, she combed through all the knots until it was silky smooth and shinier than it was. Tying two pink goes in her hair, she sighed, satisfied that she looked fine. No makeup was needed to make Velvet look beautiful, she was born very pretty and always had a ton of boys swooning at her feet.

Avery suddenly had a thought pop into his mind, a memory. Something about a girl... A young girl. That looked almost exactly like Velvet. Almost. Except the girl he just remembered had black raven hair, not Velvet's luscious blonde hair. Then, he saw a bright purple flash and the girl screaming. He shook his head furiously and the vision vanished. He blinked. Back to reality, Avery. "You look familiar." He said randomly.

"Um. Okay. Now, I promised you yesterday I would show you my powers. Follow me." Velvet said, confusion showing in her voice. Striding gracefully over yo the river nearby, she crouched flown next to the water, and waited for Avery to arrive so she could show him. Oh, I hope he likes water. she thought.

"Uh, I, whoops. Sorry! And thanks." He said, a bit absentminded. He walked right behind her to the gurgling water. Oh man... A uisce? Drat... He. Hated. Water. Well, he drank water and all, but he hated getting really wet. And getting cold. This girl better not splash him, or he'd, he'd... Hm... "Let me guess... You have power over water, if I'm correct?' He observed carefully.

Smiling at his absentmindedness, Velvet nodded. "I'm going to guess you don't like water judging by the look on your face." she pointed out. "Ok. Now watch carefully." Her original plan was to dump water all over Avery, but she decided against it. Whistling the tune to 'Frozen,' she lifted her pinkie just a bit, and water flew up from the river, swirling around Velvet. Velvet laughed a tinkling laugh that sounded like bells and danced around inside the fountain of water. Instead of whistling the tune to 'Frozen' now, she started singing it in a very musical voice. Stopping her dancing after a while, she kept on singing but grabbed on to Avery's wrist and yanked him inside with her. When he passed through, he didn't get wet at all, which she could tell surprised him. Expanding the water that was swirling around her, she kept twirling and dancing and doing acrobatics, all the while still singing Frozen. After a little while, she started getting tired from dancing that much and gently swirled the water back into the river. Neither she nor Avery was wet, and she said enthusiastically, "Wasn't that fun?"

Avery was stunned for a moment of what just happened. He still would've liked it better if it hadn't been water, though. But it was okay. "I guess so." He said as enthusiastically as he could. Ugh... Why must he meet a nice person who loved water?! Opposites attract... But wasn't that with magnets? Whatever. But still... "Well, I think you already know my power. Fire." He said as one of his hands out on fire.

((Avery might've not been surprised. It felt like you were speaking for him... "...which she could tell surprised him..."))

Velvet frowned and pouted. "You really don't like water do you?" Somersaulting back to where they slept, Velvet picked up her backpack and shouted behind her, "Come on slow poke. We got to find the Uisce and Diotearin Camps!" Jogging on ahead, she kept herself occupied by creating whirlpools that come out of the review rather than in, in the river and letting the whirlpool carry her farther ahead, like in a twister. Every once in a while she would cleanse some more water with her powers and hand a cup to Avery to drink.
