Jason landed, his eyes not stopping their worried gaze at where they had come from. At the moment he didn't even care of what they where speaking of,he was only worried about where Ash was. His tail twitched and his wings fidgeted slightly as his claws needed the ground with sharps scrapes.

Puck noticed and repeated, "he's fine. We're not even in Tir Na Nog yet." His usual mood had come back. "Storming the Unseelie Court?" His grin widened. "Can't pass that up for anything."
"Then let us go," Grimalkin said. "The longer we tarry, the farther word will spread about our intentions. Tir Na Nog is not far now." He turned and trotted down the corridor.
They walked for several minutes. After a while, the air turned cold and sharp; frost coated the walls of the corridor and icicles dangled from the ceiling.
"We are getting close," Grim said.
The hallway ended with a simple wooden door. A thin powder of snow lined the bottom crack and the door trembled and creaked in the wind howling just outside.
Puck stepped forward. "Gentleman and feline," he stated grandly, grasping the doorknob, "welcome to Tir Na Nog. Land of endless winter and craploads of snow."

Jason didn't seem to like going but he kept close, his head down and wincing at the wind howling beyond the door. "Wait." He stopped dead in his tracks. "Isn't Ash part of the Unseelie Court?"

"Yup," Puck said. A billow of freezing powder caressed their faces as he pulled the door open. They stood in a frozen garden, the thorn bushes on the fence coated with ice, a cherub fountain in the center of the yard spouting frozen water. In the distance, beyond the barren trees and thorny scrub, the pointed roof of a huge Victorian estate was visible. Grim and Puck exited the corridor. As they stepped through, the corridor vanished behind them. They now stood under a trellis hung with purple vines and crystal blue flowers.
"Charming," Puck commented, gazing around in distaste. "I love the barren, dead feel they're going for. Who's the gardener, I wonder? I'd love to get some tips."

Jason followed close, tail in close but his frills fluffed out fully. "...Please tell me we're not going to do any damage to anything."

"I wish," Puck muttered.
"The Winter Court is maybe two days' walk from here," Grimalkin said, leaping onto a tree stump. He shook his paws, one by one, and sat down carefully. "We should find shelter soon. I am uncomfortable in this weather, and I wouldn't be surprised if one of us froze to death."
A dark chuckle echoed across the garden. "I wouldn't worry about that now."
A figure stepped out from behind a tree, sword held loosely in one hand. The breeze ruffled the figure's black hair as he moved towards them, graceful and silent as a shadow. Grim hissed and disappeared, and Puck shoved Jason behind him.
"I've been waiting for you," Ash murmured into the silence. "You took longer than I expected."

Jason was shocked by the shove, wobbling on his hunches. His scales flooded with a ripple of relieved warm rose red,not dark and angry like the red sometimes often on the rainbow scales. His frills folded flat to his lower jaw's corner. His wings loosened a bit to see Ash alright, and he soon seemed to try and hide that he'd cared at all.

Ash regarded them, silver eyes glittering with dislike. (Mostly for Puck) The bad thing was, he was devastatingly gorgeous, dressed all in black, but this wasn't anything but a predator.
"Ash," Puck said in a conversational tone, though his face had gone hard and feral. "What a surprise to see you here. How did you find us?"
"It wasn't difficult." Ash sounded bored. "I heard someone say something about Mab's court. There are only so many ways into Tir Na Nog from the mortal world, and Shard doesn't exactly make it a secret that she guards the trod. I figured it was only a matter of time before you came here." He didn't mention he was with them earlier.
"Very clever," Puck said, smirking. "But then, you were always the strategist, weren't you? What do you want, Ash?"
"Your head," Ash answered softly. "On a pike. But what I want doesn't matter this time." He pointed his sword at Jason. "I've come for him." His queen wanted her, and he would obey her orders.
"Over my dead body." Puck smiled as if this was a friendly conversation on the street, but his muscles coiled under his skin.
"That was part of the plan." The prince raised his sword, the icy blade wreathed in mist. "I will avenge her today, and put her memory to rest." For a moment, a shadow of anguish flitted across his face, and he closed his eyes. When he opened them, they were cold and glittered with malice. "Prepare yourself."
"Stay back," Puck warned Jason, gently pushing him out of the way. He reached into his boot and pulled out a dagger, the curved blade clear as glass. "This might get a little rough..."

Jason stiffened, having known that Ash was going to kill him at some point but...he didn't know why he had thought otherwise or even how he had. His scales showed a hurt gray, but his body showed he could fight. "I can fight." He growled softly, the faintest hint of....hurt in his tone. But in his head he kept explaining to himself that Ash didn't care, hadn't cared at all ever...so he had no reason for pain. He was able to smother the hurt gray with dark emotionless black.

"It's a personal issue Ash has with me," Puck said rolling his eyes. "It would probably be best if you stayed outta this." With a whoop, he flourished his knife and charged at the waiting prince.
Ash lunged, a dark blur across the snow, his sword hissing down in a vicious arc. Puck leaped out of the way, and the blow sent a miniature blizzard arching towards Jason. Not on purpose.
