'This place, it reeks of death and sickness.' The boy huffed after a moment. 'Why would anyone wish to live here?' With careful eyes he scanned the crowd, looking to see if there was anyone not staring. Woman stood before him with a hand over their hearts, tears in their eyes while men stood whispering to one another. It was ridiculous! He was a human just like them, why could they not just leave him be? Sure he looked different but other than that for now they were the same. He hated their gaze, it hurt, burned even. With a careful motion he pulled the hood down a bit more to cover his face, before casting his head down.
