She sniffed, nodding. Then she froze, having an idea. *we need to warn other people quickly, but so the humans dont know we are warning them.* then she raised her hands and closed her eyes.

An oak tree began growing outside the cave, but no ordinary oak. It was hollow on the outside, and had small holes poking into the inside. A bunch of seeds were inside the tree, and next to it was a small desk, a wood cup full of pencils, another cup full of string, and some paper. The tree wasnt very big, but any bird would definitely notice it, and then the seeds inside it.

As soon as Elva finished her magic, small birds began flying near it, and some landed and began eating the seeds.

Elva fell back, pale but smiling. *carrier pigeons. Just not pigeons. And since its not pigeons and just normal native birds, the humans wont think anythings wrong.*

Darius
"There's only one problem. Carrier pigeons just returned to their nests. They couldn't be told where to go."

"The birds would have to be brought to the individual villages. They would return here. If you could get them to fly to specific villages and return, that could work."

*oh.*

Darius
"Can you tell the birds what you want them to do?"

*... maybe?*

Darius
"It's worth a shot."

She nodded and looked at the birds, but didnt do anything.
