"I didn't plan to." He said simply. "I'm just curious as to why."

"You told me the problem youself when we board this ship so be pacient." Selkie worked with the seaweed while Barlo pounded the metal into a claw like shape.

"Jog my memory." Kaladin said.

"Spurs," Selkie said trying to focus on the seaweed wrapping, "Barlo you almost finished?"
"Yes the metal you gave me is spectacular even if it is fighting me every pound of the way," Barlo stoked the fire.

Kaladin tilted his head in confusion.

"You said and I quote 'Sure wish I had spurs' Selkie repeated.
(Kaladin said that exaclty whe he was climbing the ship)

"It was a rhetorical statement...." Kaladin protested. "I didn't mean it. In any case I'm frightened of heig--" He stopped himself before he could finish that thought.

"Doesn't matter we will still be climbing when we board Black Beard's ship," Selkie said then put part of the seaweed in his mouth and strightened it out, "Wait if you are scared then why did you offer to come with us?"

"It's not the fighting. I'm accustomed to that...." Kaladin mumbled. "......It's heights, and I'm very glad Skipper hasn't decided to assign me a shift to the crow's nest yet..."

"Why do you think he hasn't yet?" Selkie asked, "I can tell you it isn't because he likes you."
